The bottom line of what XeniaSt is saying, correctly, is that islam’s claim to “Abraham” is without Biblical merit and false.

Ishmael was not born of the covenant of God with regard to Isaac (See Galatians, chapters 2 and 3 if memory serves). Later God DID say He would multiply the Arab, but certainly this wasn’t Islam.

Islam claims ISHMAEL was THE heir to the Promise, which like virtually everything else islamic, is a twisted lie contrary to Biblical truth.

Hence for this article to claim “Abraham” is a prophet of islam, as islam falsely claims, is also another fallacy built upon mad mo’s lies.

And :

NAsbU Genesis 22:2 He said, "Take now your son,
your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and
offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I
will tell you."

Hey, the Pharisees were living their lives focusing on living righteously, but for some reason, Jesus didn't speak too well of them (just look at John 8). I didn't know the Pharisees believed in Christ. Oh, wait, they didn't. Not a very accurate comparision.

that salvation-wise who really cares about how you live on this earth 'cause you get a second chance to hear the Mormon gospel once your dead...

A stretch to get any Mormon to agree with this statement, even if they are a bit loopy. Nice try.

And Andres Celsius gave us water freezing at 100 degrees in his own scale!

We moved on from there too...

The RCC does NOT recognize the Mormon baptism as valid, IIRC.

not surprised.....the RCC doesn't recognize Baptist baptisms, and the Baptists don't recognize RCC baptisms......actuallt, Baptists have a dificult time recognizing ANY Baptisms ....and I wonder if the RCC recognize other Baptisms (I don't know that answer).

“I believe that most Mormons are Christians first and are living their lives focusing on strong family ties and living righteously.”

You are wrong.

I’ve been known to be wrong before.

Not like God is sitting up there waiting to send my soul to Hell if I make myself look like an ass on FR.

“Well, Christ is also referred to” and so forth and so on....

I was responding to rface who wrote “Christ did NOT say the Bible was the word of God.”
Of course He did. But the new testament was written after His death, correct?

Anywho, God made us sentient beings (or we helped ourselves to that gift in the garden) so we could read and understand.
But He didn’t cite chapter and verse, as He could with the old books, because they were still in the heads of his disciples.
By that I mean he didn’t say, “Well, in Book so and so, subchapter viii. I urged any without sin to cast the first stone.” Because He was busy doing all these things.
Okey dokey?

Nice sermon though . . .

the RCC have an additional book or 2 in the Bible...and that Bible has been canonized.

I wonder if the Coptic church or the Orthodox church or the Armenian church have a different book or two within their Bible? That's something for me to research

Water boils at 100, freezes at 0.

The RCC isn’t the end all to be all for churches, only god can determine if a baptism is valid or not.

Yeah, I recalled it being preached on down that Pilate called Him the Son of God and Jesus plead the 5th.

...the RCC doesn't recognize Baptist baptisms...

You're going to have to source that... good luck.

... and the Baptists don't recognize RCC baptisms...

This is true.

...and I wonder if the RCC recognize other Baptisms (I don't know that answer).

The Church doesn't "rebaptize" those who have been baptized in the Trinitarian formula.

Actually, in most scientific circles. Farenheit was the one that was “moved on” from, not Celcius. Farenheit is only used in America and in places where fractions of Celcius degrees are useless like culinary studios.

To the deceived, the facts really don’t matter.

A good feeling in the belly easily seems to trump any logic that might be given.

However, the true Word of God does and can cut through the deception.

We don’t rely on logic alone, but the true Word of God (the Bible only) is very logical.

“In the beginning was the LOGOS,
and the LOGOS was with God,
and the LOGOS was God.”
