This list of types is wrong.

Being written by Evangelicals, it exhibits the typical blindness of Evangelicals (I’m a former Evangelical) that makes either/or distinctions without substance when both/and categories are more accurate.

I am a “Liturgical Christian” (Orthodox) who is fully described by their “Active Christian” list.

These folks have made a FALSE distinction which amounts to unintentional bigotry.

There are active, passive and nominal Christians, who form a kind of continuum. Then there are the unbelievers who come in many varieties.Among these are those who have fallen away from Belief, and form a portion of all three types. There are also among the unbelievers those who with the help of God’s grace are rising to meet him.

No, you are an "Active Christian" that belongs to what would you consider to be a liturgical type church.

You are confusing types of Christians with types of churches. While Orthodox, Catholic and Lutheran make up the largest part of "Liturgical Christians," they are also part of the makeup of other types of Christians as well.

I commented earlier on how I can clearly see that my church alone is made up of at lest four of the five types of Christians.

I forgot to add orthodox to the liturgical Christians. Sorry!

Yes, that is a bit odd that the author puts "liturgical" in a different category than "active."

I think you're right that it reflects evangelicals' failure to recognize the importance of liturgical action.

Though bigotry is a bit strong a term to use for it. More likely, the author simply had little exposure to liturgy, and hence doesn't grasp its importance and spiritual value. I don't think it's fair to read anything sinister into it.
