“what? do you just make up these outrageous claims as you?”

No but I do read the articles and remember reading the original articles a few years ago. You obviously don’t read the article you are posting to. The below QUOTE was taken from the article:

(The church, Most Holy Redeemer, already had a history of pushing homosexual activism in violation of Roman Catholic Church teachings, including granting permission to the “Sisters” to hold “Revival Bingo” games there where porn DVDs and sex toys were used as prizes. )

“ya know if you don’t like the Catholic Church and/or Catholics why not just come out and say so...I think they’re looking for you over at the DU. Trust me, you won’t be missed ‘round here.”

I’m not catholic and don’t buy into a lot of their misguided teachings. I prefer the bible for my doctrine. But I do appreciate your Christian like response.

And I would be too missed. Gotta keep rush-to-judgement folks like you in line.

If anyone can stomach going to the San Francisco Bay Times website (the local “GLBTXYZ” newspaper) do a search for “Bingo” and your information will be verified by an article by “Sister Dana Van Iquity” laying out all the details of the fun.

If you're not Catholic it doesn't matter what they teach. I'd be interested in your list of "misguided teachings."

I love it when I hear guys like you criticize the Catholic Church for its doc tine, claiming to prefer the "Bible" as your sole source of authority.

Where do you think your Bible came from, buddy? I'll give you a hint -- The Catholic Church.

Second, who is the final arbiter on what scripture says? You? That's why there are now over 25,000 Christian denominations.

I've got news for you -- neither you nor I are the final arbiter of the scriptures. The Church is. And if you believe in the Bible, and Catholics do, then you should know that the Church is the pillar and bullwork of truth (1 Tim 3:15) In sum, the Catholic Church is bible-based, and we believe every divinely inspired word in scripture. But we also believe that the Church as the pillar and bullwork of Truth and that it is the final arbiter of scripture because God made it so and continues to do so through the Holy Spirit.
