Chief Information Security Officer

Job description: The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for the development and oversight of the Church's information security and risk management methodologies, strategy, policies, awareness programs, and security goals and metrics.
The CISO will facilitate the creation of information security policies and procedures and is responsible for coordinating the response to security incidents. The CISO will also serve as the incident liaison to senior management, human resources, the legal department and other resources as necessary.
The CISO will be responsible for the assessment of security exposures and will ensure that those programs and policies exceed industry standards based upon IT governance frameworks such as ISO 17799 and COBIT and comply with governmental and industry regulatory standards such as HIPAA and PCI.
The CISO will work with department managers throughout the Church to conduct risk assessments and to help develop action plans for dealing with security weaknesses. The CISO will also ensure that ongoing monitoring for information security controls is in place.
The CISO must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior management team and can communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently temple worthy
10 years experience in information technology
5-7 years experiences in security and/or risk management
3-5 years of management experience
Bachelor's degree in IT related field required, Master's degree preferred
Current CISSP, CITP, CISM or CISA certification
Experience working with regulatory compliance issues
Experience working within a large global enterprise
Subject matter expertise on information security governance, strategy development, controls and security issues
