The "dark matter" went after years of unsuccessful mathematical acrobatics of semi-lunatics working in universities to "dark energy."

Er, the critical density of the universe consists of 5% ordinary matter, 25% dark matter and 70% dark energy.

Dark matter exists in the centers of galaxies - very high positive gravity regions (space/time indentations) around which the star systems orbit.

Dark energy exists in the regions between galaxies - and has the character of negative gravity (space/time outdents) which accelerate the expansion of the universe (space/time continuum.)

Ordinary matter which the Standard Model suggests is the Higgs field/boson has not yet been observed or created. CERN is planning another test this year, so we'll see.

But physics has already moved on to other possibilities such as supersymmetry and extra dimensional theories, e.g. that the particles we see are actually massless, their apparent masses corresponding to extra-dimensional momentum components we can’t as yet detect. Mysteries of Mass.

P.S. Wesson's theory suggests that the particles in this four dimensional space/time may actually be as little as a single particle in a fifth, time-like dimension, multiply imaged 1080 times.

In 30 years the Big Bang will be redacted into something else or discarded altogether just like the Steady State theory and its proponents.

If I had that many years left on earth, I'd bet that you are wrong.

The scientists have been working their hearts out trying to get God out of the picture, because a beginning of real space and real time means there had to be an uncaused cause of it - and there can be no uncaused cause of space, time and physical causation other than God the Creator.

This does not mean that science is anti-God but rather that science has embraced "methodological naturalism" which means that they cannot say "God did it!" LOL!

To see how silly this quest has become, take a peek at Hawking's lecture on imaginary time!

But none of their attempts - multi-world, multi-verse, cyclic, ekpyrotic, imaginary time - have been able to obviate the uncaused cause of space/time.

The bottom line is that they all rely on the geometry for physical causation and ...

In the absence of space, things cannot exist.

In the absence of time, events cannot occur.

To God be the glory!

Girl, you do a much better job of articulating this than I can!

IOW, the harder science works to explain everything and disprove GOD, they actually do the reverse. Ultimately, all we have to do is insist on objectivity.

AG, I absolutely love that post/essay.

This is an absolute gem:

In the absence of space, things cannot exist.

In the absence of time, events cannot occur.

I used this quote with my Sunday School class this morning. It hit me between the eyes at about 5 AM, and it STUCK. (And I said it came from someone so much more able to explain this than I ever would be.)

My wife teaches Calculus. My Mom devours books. My favorite online females are the deepest of thinkers on subjects of physics, metaphysics, biology, genetics, etc.

I summed it up by saying: "Every single female I know is light years smarter than me."

All the ladies in the class "wisely" nodded their heads in agreement.

:>)

Er, you speak of "dark matter" and "dark enegry" as some "facts." They are hypothetical  constructsnecessary plug-ins in the formula to balance out the equation. They have yet to be discovered. They "exist" only in the minds of those who are desperately trying to save the failed relativity theory.

We've been through this before. Nerds like Hawkings has already admitted to having been wrong, after 20 years or so of egotistical claims to the contrary. Astrophyiscs is an expensive toyland for immature adults who can't hold a regular job. It does absolutely nothing for the good of the world.
