Is Mormonism Christian?

Is Mormonism Christian? This may seem like a puzzling question to many Mormons as well as to some Christians. Mormons will note that they include the Bible among the four books which they recognize as Scripture, and that belief in Jesus Christ is central to their faith, as evidenced by their official name, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Furthermore, many Christians have heard the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing Christian hymns and are favorably impressed with the Mormon commitment to high moral standards and strong families. Doesnt it follow that Mormonism is Christian?

No
The Bible is it. No other book at all is the revelation of God. It is the complete and faithful truth of God, and everything else that claims to be is of Satan.
This has been addressed, not so not so!

The gold one is still 'hidden'; to protect it!
Do you accept the entirety of the Book of Mormon, as well as the other writings of Joseph Smith, as being completely true?
Yes
>>as well as the other writings of Joseph Smith, as being completely true?
No
Many non-Mormons don't understand what is considered Canon in our church. The Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price (which includes Abraham and Moses) and the Doctrine and Covenants are considered Canon.
The question itself is leading since I do not consider the scriputral writings to be translations from scipture given from the Lord rather than "writings" of Jospeh Smith.
If you are interested in a longer explanation on what is not canon I can go into it. Much of what was written about the early Mormon prophets is from secondary and tertiary sources. ie it's not a verbatim tape recording.
In the Bible Paul gave counsel "of myself and not by way of commandment". Peter denied Christ and Moses took credit for a miracle. In those statements they were not speaking truth. Every single word ever written by Joseph Smith or that has been claimed by others that he said is not considered Canon.
If it says Thuis saith the Lord and is found in our sciptures it is considered Canon. There is more but are you really interested in th elong explanation?

You have claimed that you accept the Book of Mormon, in its entirety, as being true. Is that the case, even when it contradicts what is written in the Bible?
