It's showing more evidence of God's timeless Authorship.

Ditto
Amen.
PING to end times list
sorry keyboard still acting up.
It had one Author, all right... :) The masterfulness of how the Bible is tied together from book to book is beyond comprehension.
This article is too complex for my puny brain.
If God said it, I believe it. Nuf said.

More of a spinoff on "Bible Code" type stuff. Not very believable.
Run this skip code thingy on the combined speaches of Al Gore, John Kerry, and John McCain and see if there is any evidence that they were all written by a single author and get back to me.
Thanks!
Mel Gibson?

The Five Books of Moses subtracted from the Ten Commandments leaves five. Minus the brothers Jacob and Esau leaves three. It was reasoning like this that led Rabbi Yitzhok Ben Levi, the great Jewish mystic, to hit the double at Aqueduct 52 days running and still wind up on relief.
Did the Old Testament have just one author? Erm, yes, the same author as the New.
thx
Ecclesiastes 1:1
"The words of the Teacher, son of David, king in Jerusalem:"
Jeremiah 1:1
"The words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin."
Etc...
This is idiocy.
NOTE TO ALL:
While my keyboard problem appears to be solved for the time being . . . I still have little to no inclination to defend or support the validity of the AUTHENTIC Bible Codes.
There is a link above . . . let me see . . .

RE:
A SUBSTANTIVE BASIS FOR TESTING THE CLAIMED REALITY OF BIBLE CODES
IF
someone were to cite a specific paragraph of that doc or a similar one, I MIGHT be willing to respond about the substance of the paragraph.
Most carping naysayers tend to avoid even seriously scanning, much less reading; much, much less understanding and discussing the merits of the statistical science and linguistic arts involved in authentic codes.
However, Drosnin's spurious stuff and a host of other spurious stuff aside, there is a considerable body of extremely solid peer-reviewed statistical documentation of the awesume validity of the Codes--that is, that what has been found
IN SCRIPTURE TRUMPS THAT FOUND IN ANY OTHER LONG HEBREW TEXT
BY A VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY WIDE MARGIN.
That's simply a fact. Naysayers to that fact will eventually paint themselves more overtly with the foolishness their absurd statements tend to be saturated with.
Bias is not a substitute for truth nor for scientific inquiry.
I'll likely ignore most naysayers on the thread unless I happen to feel particularly fiesty on occasion.
Blessings,
Cheers.
I continue to be of the opinion that God uses the Codes primarily to show forth His timeless all knowing majesty and to make sport of idiot naysaying scientists on the basis of their own criteria for truth.
IIRC several atheist Jewish scholars have come to a Saving knowledge of and a relationship with Jesus Christ because of the awesome statistical facts regarding AUTHENTIC codes.
There is plenty of mystery and certainly incredible complexity which we are only beginning to know how to make the least sense of. It is a rapidly involving discipline.
I don't know that the particular codes in and of themselves are the main points of this document. It is the awesome sweep of the codes and their sort of holistic gestalt in terms of the negative slant/tone of them. And, particularly that they take in almost the whole of the Old Testament.
THAT FACT ALONE indicates that SOME EXTERNAL AWESOME SOURCE had to do with the construction of the surface text in which the codes are embedded. The only plausible explanation is GOD ALMIGHTY. imho.
Blessings,
LUBB
