I TRULY REJOICE AT THIS EXAPANSION OF THE GOSPEL. It's a blessing and wonderous chance to be part of such a missionary outreach that is so impactful, so overwhelmingly successful.

PING

to END TIMES/DREAMS/VISIONS/PROPHECY

PING LIST.

Please let me know if you want on or off the list.

= = = =

It's exciting to see a major means of fulfilling the prophecy about The Gospel going to all the world before the Lord's Return--and that it can evidently happen via the wind-up MP3 players within the next 8-12 years IIRC.

PRAISE GOD!

It's also exciting to see such a VIVID, DEMONSTRATION OF SOLA SCRIPTURA. Healthy churches arising spontaneously by Holy Spirit AND GOD'S SPOKEN WORD.

Fancy that! HOLY SPIRIT REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING?

Who'd a thunk! /sar

I'm happy of the gospel being spread, but it's quite a stretch to say it proves a self-contradiction.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, HOLY SPIRIT HAS REPEATEDLY MADE CLEAR OVER 30 YEARS THAT HE IS WELL ABLE TO ESTABLISH HIS CHURCH AND MAINTAIN IT’S HEALTHY FUNCTIONING

30 years is nothin'! Try 2000! :)

Oh, and hey, I wonder why this wasn't tried in, say, A.D. 1200 when most of the population was illiterate and when books cost the equivalent of a small house. I wonder why no enterprising medeival evangelist just didn't put it on an MP3 player (they were made of ivory back then) and distribute!

I TRULY REJOICE AT THIS EXAPANSION OF THE GOSPEL.

Amen.

The Seranon sp? people group have had written Scriptures since the late 1800’s as I recall. But the vast majority (90%?) of the population are illiterate.

The idea of putting the Bible on MP3 players and getting it to illiterate men and women in far-off places is a fascinating and worthy goal.

Twenty-first century evangelism. I think Jonathan Edwards would approve. 8~)

CLEARLY HOLY SPIRIT IS WELL ABLE TO INSURE THAT GOD’S WORD DOES NOT RETURN VOID. MORE IMPORTANTLY, HOLY SPIRIT HAS REPEATEDLY MADE CLEAR OVER 30 YEARS THAT HE IS WELL ABLE TO ESTABLISH HIS CHURCH AND MAINTAIN IT’S HEALTHY FUNCTIONING

WITHOUT

ANY BUREAUCRACY FROM THE WEST OR ANYWHERE ELSE. . . .

without any tradition bound, traditions of men infected magesterium;

without any pontifical seminaries;

without any arguments about the original artifacts;

without any trumped up line of political succession;

without any denominational pride, parochialness and haughtily held distinctives;

without any formal or informal inquisitions;

without any arrogant authoritarian doctrinal police;

WITHOUT any elaborate explanations and straight jackets about how GOD CAN’T/WOULDN’T DO IT THAT WAY; GOD WOULDN’T DO !THAT!

WITHOUT anything but GOD’S WORD. TRULY LITERAL SOLA SCRIPTURA.

These people have done well with the measure of Grace and knowledge of God given them. That said, I challenge how that "proves" Sola Scriptura; given only Scripture and the Natural Law that already existed in the hearts of these people, neither I nor anyone else could expect they would come up with something other than a system based only on Scripture. Had they been given the Faith in its fullest as it came down from the Holy Apostles, they would have had a church that resembled the Catholic or the Orthodox Church (if not a part of one of those two Churches).

That said, I'd rather they have the Scriptures alone than to remain pagans with no knowledge of Christ.

The true miracle of the power of God's Word. It is sufficient.

About 6 out of 10 times A CHURCH SPONTANEOUSLY APPEARS—FUNCTIONING, HEALTHY, BIBLICAL. Many times, MULTIPLE CHURCHES ARISE spontaneously—from one MP3 player as it’s shared beyond the original agreement.

Follow them over time. Do a study.

See how long they stay healthy. See what beliefs each "church" comes to espouse. Note the degree of divergence in the various "churches" and whether their beliefs are consistent or conflicting. See to what degree the Christian message becomes mixed and mingled with pagan beliefs or native culture. That should give you some window on the work of the Holy Spirit.

I think your shouts of "success" and your exuberant celebration of "Houston, we have a church" are a little premature. You're introducing people to the word of God. This isn't the end. It's just the beginning. These people are starting a journey (see St. Paul's letters for all the problems of newly-birthed Christian communities).

Do you intend to simply let them wander where ever the "spirit" takes them, or will there be some .....*cough*.....authoritative follow-up in order to guide them, should they start plucking out their eyes, for instance, so as not to sin? 'Course, I would hate to suggest that you might be imposing some of that Christian .......*Protestants cover eyes, dangerous word ahead*........tradition ..........*all clear*......on these new converts, but I take it there is some form of spiritual accountability and guidance.
