For those of you who missed it last year, the book The War on Christmas: How the Liberal Plot to Ban the Sacred Christian Holiday Is Worse Than You Thought is re-released in paperback in time for Christmas 2006. This was part of the effort that successfully began to turn back the anti-Christmas zealots last year. But don't be fooled, they'll be back again this year.
I thank God for CHRISTmas.

Indeed, they are already back. Happy Holidays is ringing out in all of the ads just like last year! Wal Mart smartened up and is allowing employees to say "Merry Christmas!"
One of our local radio stations cranked up their "all Christmas music all the time" format this a.m. Apart from listening to such uplifting classics as "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" and "Walking 'Round in Women's Underwear" (formerly "Winter Wonderland"), I noticed that they are starting to change the words of the traditional carols. Thus, in the one I noticed, "glories of His righteousness" has now been changed to "glories of his righteous love."
Ditto that.
Thank you Cvenger.
I love Porky Pig's rendition of Blue Christmas.
Wal Mart might have said that but in Hays County Texas when you wish the checker "Merry Christmas" she responded with "you too"
that is NOT good enough and I turned around and returned an $80.00 item and crossed them off the list for Christmas shopping.
The manager said they couldn't make the employees say anything.
there was no decorating, except snowflakes and the big smily face saying "roll back prices" NOT good enough either.
If you can't decorate and wish me Merry Christmas I will find a store that will.
and I did, Bealls. Their print ad had the word Christmas top left and bottom of the front page. They decorated, played REAL Christmas songs and said Merry Christmas. I spent as much as I could there. Thank you Bealls.
