Two video heads up - one from Ignatius Press and the other one from Fox News

Folks, I think you need to see either one or both of these videos. The first one is courtesy of Ignatius Press and it is the DVD of Pope John Paul II: The Movie, which I reviewed here almost a year ago, starring John Voight and Cary Elwes. They have two clips on line which you may watch here and here.

The other one is called Obsession. Fox News reports:

According to a shocking new documentary called “Obsession,” the free world is still unprepared to face the unwavering commitment of those who have pledged their lives to our destruction. The film states that we suffer not so much from complacency, but from the naïve disbelief that we remain targets of thousands, perhaps millions of radical Muslims around the world.

The film takes the position that there is no middle ground for radical Islamists -- or Islamic fascists, to use the phrase invoked by President Bush. “Obsession” is filled with fiery speeches, from the Middle East to the streets of London and New York, in which Islamic extremists offer a stark choice for the world: either convert to a Taliban-like form of Islam or face death.

I caught the last half hour of it tonight and it was very disturbing. Fox News also offers two clips from this documentary, which you may access here and here. The Fox News' special will be repeated Sunday at 1 a.m. ET, 5 a.m. ET, 4 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET.

Let us pray for the prompt beatification of Pope John Paul the Great and for the safety and security of our Nation, and our men and women in uniform throughout the world, and for those wearing the uniform of law enforcers, firefighters, and paramedics.

The DUmbasses in the lame-stream, has-been, drive-by dinosaur media have to cover Saddam's sentencing tomorrow.

If he's sentenced to DEATH, any further trials are moot and we are again reminded of why our troops are in Iraq - depose Saddam (or REGIME CHANGE as it was referred to when Clinton adopted it as policy, but did nothing more than lip service). DUmocrats wanted the election to be about Iraq, and so it is.

1. Jean-Fraud Kerry infers that soldiers in Iraq are dumb.

2. Soldiers respond

3. NYT admits Saddam had nuke program.

4. Families of fallen visit Iraq (no quagmire)

5. Saddam sentenced (death by wood chipper)

News cycle seems to be working for GOP advantage thus far. DUmocrats today counter with "Rusmsfeld must resign" and "recruiters caugh lying" stories. Wow. That's new....NOT!

In addition to Saddam sentencing, Fox will be running OBSESSION - THE MOVIE, and we get to see the face of the enemy today and tomorrow. Fox is also showing "waterboarding" (Steve Harrigan, a Fox reporter volunteered to show how it is done) all day today.

I don't know what Monday brings, but I've got a good idea about the day after.

Obsession showed in video what has been reported on the FR threat matrix threads over the past couple of years.

Obsession was absolutely frightening, and my TV is so small that unless I sit very close I can't read the subtitles.

I want to watch it again so I can read those. Just the tone of the jihadist's voices could make a Christian or a Jew tremble.

There is nothing to worry about.

Bush Sends Greetings to Muslims Observing Ramadan

THE WHITE HOUSE

Office of the Press Secretary

September 22, 2006

I send greetings to the many Muslims observing Ramadan in America and around the world.

Ramadan is the holiest time of the Muslim year and an important holiday when Muslims take time for prayer, fasting, and personal sacrifice. According to Islamic teachings, this month represents when God delivered His word to the prophet Muhammad in the form of the Qur'an. Ramadan is also an opportunity to gather with friends and family and show thanks for God's blessings through works of charity.

Ramadan and the upcoming holiday seasons are a good time to remember the common values that bind us together. Our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens whose commitment to faith reminds us of the gift of religious freedom in our country.

Laura and I send our best wishes for a blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak.

GEORGE W. BUSH

*Ramadan is just like Lent for Christians. For Lent, ny family fasts and kills as many innocent Jews as possible. It is a tradition.

Ramadan 2006 brought 280 Islamic Terrorist Attacks in 17 Countries

It is all about Iraq, correct? NOT! As Islamic people celebrated Ramadan 2006, the Islamic revolutionaries attacked 17 countries, and carried out a total of 280 separate terrorist attacks and left 1,600 people dead.

By Don Feder 10-28-06: "Muslims celebrated their holy month of Ramadan by racking up an impressive body count -- more than 1,600 dead in 280 separate terror attacks in 17 countries. Islamic funsters tend to be particularly hard on the ladies.

Of course, if you do not wish to believe Don Feder, who some believe is highly prejudiced on many issues, then one can always count up the terrorist attacks from the Terrorist Attack List. This list, of over 6,000 terrorist attacks committed by Muslims since 9/11/01 (a rate of about three or four a day), is incomplete because only a small percentage of attacks were picked up by international news sources, even those involving multiple loss of life. We included an attack if it was committed by Muslims in the name of Islam, and usually only if loss of life occurred (with a handful of exceptions where there were a very large number of injuries). In several cases, the victims are undercounted because deaths from trauma caused by the Islamists may occur in later days, despite the best efforts of medical personnel to keep the victims alive. We usually don't include incidents related to combat, such as in Iraq and Afghanistan, unless it involves particularly heinous terrorist tactics.)

*Really, Karen Hughes and Pres Bush are right. Ramadan is cool, baby
