I never got that.

I always got that it "COULD" be our generation.

Still could be. Jesus said to "Watch for you don't know when the Son of Man comes."

You'd better fault Jesus, too.

Actually, the Great Tribulation that came upon the generation Jesus spoke to, the Jewish War, ratified His prophetic warnings to those who heard Him, and His status as Messiah.

I believe it was Jack Chick in one of his pamphlets that boldly said the return of christ would "BE IN YOUR LIFETIME"!

Consider the source.

I also heard Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel use the 1948 date and the fig tree as a starting point.

It could also possibly be the generation after the six day war in 1963, I believe. I read that 'theory' once myself. We'll soon know, I think.
