On the money, Charles! The wife and I seldom attend our contemporary service. It's just not an enjoyable experience for this 'old fogy'. The more traditional, the better. Jimbo

Satire seems to be alive and well.

I grow weary of some modern songs and chorus and am quite thankful our pastor includes a hymn or two Sundays.

But some of the choruses and modern stuff is full of meanng and Spiritual richness.

And, a lot of good things can be driven over the cliff of insipiddity.

Certainly "with charity for all" doesn't seem all that abroad in the hearts of many when discussing Christian music.

You must be reading my mind. ;^) I always make sarcastic remarks about "Shine Jesus Shine" and just did this morning. Agreed, it's awful and it's empty.

Personally, I refuse to attend contemporary worship but have certainly heard both songs if I've been in the building during that service.
