The exclusivity of traditional Christianity, ours is the only way, saddens me now. Seldom in recent years did I hear reference to other faiths, maybe a nod now and then to ecumenicity. As I contemplate the world scene, traumatized with religious conflict, it seems there is good reason to be about the business of opening all the doors and windows to the fresh air of learning about, valuing and working with other faiths.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 (kjv)
I am not a methodist, and have had some issues with some Methodist teachings, but some of that can be expected between denominations. Thing is, Jesus is the one that stated there is no other way to heaven, thus it is Jesus that said "ours (Christianity) is the only way". yes, there are many (incorrect) spiritual paths, but only one way to heaven.
This woman's argument isn't with the Methodist Church, but with Jesus himself.

I never have understood the attraction of "inclusivity" for these people. There are gazillions of people that should be excluded.
