Mohammed in the "Gospel" of Barnabas - ZOT for the Theologians

Posted on 07/17/2006 9:05:28 AM PDT by parakletos

The GREAT PROPHET MOHAMMED was mentioned by name in the forgotten gospel of Barnabas, who was one of the disciples of THE GREAT PROPHET JESUS CHRIST.

The gospel is here: www.barnabas.net/

in the aforementioned site, make a search for the word "mohammed".

heres a sample: from part 97

Then said the priest: `How shall the Messiah be called, and what sign shall reveal his coming?'

Jesus answered: `The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he had created his soul, and placed it in a celestial splendour. God said: "Wait Mohammed; for thy sake I will to create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make thee a present, insomuch that whoso bless thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be accursed. When I shall send thee into the world I shall send thee as my messenger of salvation, and thy word shall be true, insomuch that heaven and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall never fail." Mohammed is his blessed name.'

Then the crowd lifted up their voices, saying: `O God, send us thy messenger: O Mohammed, come quickly for the salvation of the world!'

what do you think?

LOL!

A "Gazelle Edge" elliptical machine. Has about 6 square feet of footprint. It was in storage while I was with my daughter. I lost weight by doing work I wasn't accostomed to. Like washing clothes and dishes for seven people...*snort*

In Nevada, one MUST take an NRA course before one is allowed possession of a handgun. It works for me. It makes as much sense as learning how to drive before buying a car. So I'm ready for what I have to do. :o]

Yah...Igor and I used to hit "junk" stores and buy things, then refinish/restore them and sell them. It was a lot of fun, but I hated to sell...I just didn't have a house big enough for all of it! Somewhere, I have photos of all the stuff we did.

I'm still looking for the elusive "perfectly balanced" .357. My daughter has a Sig Sauer, but I don't know what caliber. My plan is to check some of the local pawn shops, then find "The Gun" that fits my hands, budget, and needs.

Do you have any suggestions?

Well, it wasn't MY diet plan! I just did it to help them out, thinking I was going to get paid by the mother for baby-sitting the kids. NOT!!!!

Good, I'm happy you'll be taking the course. Not only is the course good, but you can pump your teacher(s) with all your questions.

Well, like I said: The course is required whenever you buy a handgun in Nevada. It's a small price to pay for doing things right.

I always wanted to add a .357 snubby to my collection, but when it came to buying it, I wasn't too flush and the price difference steered me to the the .38. I still love it. A wheel gun is much more reliable than a semi for someone who doesn't use guns frequently and subsequently cleaning them all the time.

You instructor would hopefully say a .357 or .38 revolver would be a good gun for starters or to have forever. People are going to tell you all kinds of things, but if you want to know what kind of gun to have, you and I would have to discuss it. There are things I would ask you.
