Mohammed in the "Gospel" of Barnabas - ZOT for the Theologians
Posted on 07/17/2006 9:05:28 AM PDT by parakletos
The GREAT PROPHET MOHAMMED was mentioned by name in the forgotten gospel of Barnabas, who was one of the disciples of THE GREAT PROPHET JESUS CHRIST.
The gospel is here: www.barnabas.net/
in the aforementioned site, make a search for the word "mohammed".
heres a sample: from part 97
Then said the priest: `How shall the Messiah be called, and what sign shall reveal his coming?'
Jesus answered: `The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he had created his soul, and placed it in a celestial splendour. God said: "Wait Mohammed; for thy sake I will to create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make thee a present, insomuch that whoso bless thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be accursed. When I shall send thee into the world I shall send thee as my messenger of salvation, and thy word shall be true, insomuch that heaven and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall never fail." Mohammed is his blessed name.'
Then the crowd lifted up their voices, saying: `O God, send us thy messenger: O Mohammed, come quickly for the salvation of the world!'
what do you think?

Got (company) tickets today to my first baseball game in 43 years, for Wednesday. First time ever for the good wife. I'm considering playing hooky from work and going to that game... depends on work.

Yep.
She has inherited all of her mother's good looks and charm, and all of his lethal ferocity.
I pity the world.
It's getting to be my naptime too. I'll turn over the plotting of mischief to my subconscious, which has even fewer scruples than do I.

Productive, I mean.
Since I can't type this morning, I think I'll go sort some laundry and try to figure out why the vacuum cleaner is making that Noise again.

"... why the vacuum cleaner is making that Noise again." I'm guessing an IMProvised Ex-functional Device, (IED).
I found half of a plastic army man that the puppy chewed up. Talk about your "Dogs of War!"
I'll bet the plastic armyman recruiters never mentioned that potential hazard.
