Quietly and without any fanfare, The Wanderer has created a new column for Father Altier's Sunday Sermons. This week's column begins as follows.
(Author's Note: Before we begin our reflection on the Scripture readings for this Sunday's Mass, I want to briefly introduce myself. I am a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. In seminary I worked on a master's degree with an emphasis in New Testament Studies. After being ordained in 1989 I served for three years at the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal and since 1992 I have served the people at the Church of St. Agnes in St. Paul. As you read this article I will have just recently embarked on a new assignment as a chaplain at the Regina Medical Center in Hastings, Minn., serving patients in a small hospital and the residents of a nursing home, assisted living and independent living apartments.)
Unfortunately, these sermons are not available online. To read them, you will have to subscribe to the newspaper. You can request a free sample of the paper at this link . The very fact that this paper has given voice to Fr. Altier should provide you with some insight into its conservative writings.

Are these old pieces? I thought Fr. Altier had been officially silenced by Bishop Flynn for sins against AmChurch?
Not as far as I can tell. It seems The Wanderer has created this column to post his Sunday Sermon.
