"Da Vinci Code" graffiti appears on door of Catholic Church

A vandal or vandals spray-painted words from "The Da Vinci Code" on the front doors of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Main Street late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

A groundskeeper at the church discovered the graffiti around 11 a.m. Wednesday and was visibly disheartened.

The message sprayed in black paint read, "So DARK the con of man." That same message is a clue in the plot of "The Da Vinci Code," the best-selling novel by Dan Brown that has been made into a movie.

The grafitti also included a 2-foot-diameter black circle on the brick to the right of the spray-painted doors.

Shortly after discovering the graffiti, members of the church called in a worker to remove the words and the circle. As of Wednesday afternoon, only the circle was faintly visible.

Reparations.

And if some should argue against this, then why do Germans pay Israel for the Holocaust? Didn't it start with antisemitic propaganda in the form of print and movies?

Send the bill to Sony and Dan Brown and his publisher. Keep a running tab of costs due to vandalism and violence. Work up a law suit...even if it never reaches court.

Why?

Because using heresy and out right lies as entertainment must become too expensive to movie producers and publicists to be considered a profitable investment.

It's better that Sony and other companies pay for this (even with an inexpensive out of court settlement, like a simple statement that their movie is patently false in presenting "facts" and absolutely unhistorical) then for their executives to pay for it with God's Justice. When Sony does, they would publicly and professionally wash their hands of those individuals who commit vandalism and violence.

Then the captured vandals and violent can, in turn, sue Sony for feeding them hate and suspicion inspiring movies that didn't have a disclaimer statement.

Why the energy to expose this? Because I just read a Wall Street Journal interview where Sony execs chose to slap Jesus in the face for a mere financial profit. Gee, thanks WSJ. Why don't you congratulate Swiss bankers for laundering Nazi gold while your at it. I'd rather see us all undo our shame before Jesus comes to Judge us all. People were warned that this would happen. Now Sony can take their profit and fix their mess before it gets worse. Dan Brown and all of his accomplices owe the Catholic Church for repairs to vandalized property.
