Just because, there are two States in Southern India that are ruled by Christians -- that does not mean that "Extremist Hindu Groups" like the R.S.S., V.H.P., Bajrang Dal, HJM, and Hindu Munnani as in the case of Tamil Nadu do not exist.

They definitely do exist and have been making life impossible for Christians as well as for Catholics for a number of years.

I will illustrate this with an example. In May 2005, Two Pentecostal Pastors were brutally killed on the outskirts of Hyderabad by V.H.P. Activists. The Hyderabad Police arrested a number of V.H.P. Activists later in July 2005 and then in August 2005 arrested the brains behind the brutal murder of those two Pastors.

Attacks on Catholic, baptist, and Pentecostal Churches are a regular feature in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala by Bajrang Dal and V.H.P. Activists. This has been going on for a number of years.

Another Example. In Trivandrum in 2004,The Missionaries of Charity (Nuns) were attacked by R.S.S. Activists and were asked to leave Trivandrum. There have also been attacks on Catholic, Syro Malabar, and Pentecostal Churches since 1999 in various parts of Kerala by Bajrang Dal as well as by R.S.S. Activists.

If these are not examples of ongoing Persecution of Christians by the R.S.S. and its affiliates then I do not know what is persecution. You must be having a different definition of persecution as compared to me.

Tell me , and be honest , what is more important for Indian christians , their country or their religion ? For us hindus , our country is always more important than our faith.

yeah right!! if you go around abusing hindus and their gods, calling them satanic and indulge in hindu bashing in the name of caste, idol worship dont expect them to love you. i have seen disgusting behavior by some so called christian groups out there. i was in an airport in southern india and met a western couple who shared their "views on hinduism" with a fellow western christian. i was disgusted. these arent christians but jihadis wrapped in a cloak of christ.

stop your hatred of pacifist religions like hinduism, buddhism etc. if you keep pushing these people they will retaliate. we all known there are trouble makers that want to start a mini war against hindus.

mainstream conservatives have no issue with hinduism. go and worship in peace and be great americans (and indians).

If you put your faith before your country , if you see yourself as part of some global x'tian ummah , like the muslims , dont expect to find much sympathy for you from the Indian people.

As for you describing yourself as an Indian, why fly the Portuguese flag on your homepage? Mind you, as an 'Indian', you have the freedom to do this, but it speaks volumes of where your true sympathies lie.

Surely Americans would find it insulting if Latinos of Mexican descent began flying the Mexican flag, as was the case last week. Besides, I've noticed you have immense personal grudges against a/some Hindus, which you are taking on the whole community. Would you now demand reparations?

You mean to say there are no Christian extremists in India, who take up violence?

Well, think again.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/para/ndfb.htm

The National Democratice Front of Bodoland (NDFB)

The NDFB is led by its chairman, Ranjan Daimary, also known as D. R. Nabla. The group was formed to attain a "sovereign Bodoland" in the region to the north of river Brahmaputra. In addition the group protests the current script of the Bodo language written in the Devnagri script. The NDFB is primarly comprised of Christians who prefer the Roman script. NDFB have committed scores of incidents of violence like murders, bomb explosions, kidnapping for ransom etc. which have had a serious bearing on the law and order situation of the state. According to the Union Home Ministry's 1996-97 report, a total of 201 persons were killed in Assam between April 1996 and March 1997, 174 which were attributed to the NDFB.

Ah, but Soldier -- your generalisation is the problem. No one denies that groups like the Bajrang Dal are vicious loons that are strongly condemned by all Indians -- most Hindus can't stomach the violence these groups do and have kept it out of their areas. However, these groups still operate. That's a fact of democracy that even loons are allowed to operate as long as they stay within the limits of the law. And the law in India kind of lags in rural areas.

The RSS does persecute Christians, but that's only made more people want to convert.

What you state are isolated instances. As Raj pointed out -- Wipro is run by a Mslim. In India there isn't discrimination against Christians -- isolated atrocities by fringe groups do not constitute discrimination.
