I just rcv'd this email from a dear family friend:
Dear Friends and Family,
My mom just called with an urgent prayer request for my brother Paul and his pregnant wife Lynette. What I have been told is that she has a disease called "Fatty Liver of Pregnancy" and that the doctors may consider delivering the baby n sometime within the next few weeks without much hope of the baby surviving. The baby is due the end of June. What my parents have been told is the baby would probably not make it if Lynette carried her to term and it would destroy Lynette's liver to continue the pregnancy. Please pray for healing and wisdom for everyone involved. I cannot imagine the choices that my brother and the doctor's are going to have to make. The agony of it all. I know that God is sovereign and not even this is surprising him. Please PLEASE pray for them. Pray for a healing for Lynette and strength for the baby and all involved. My brother and I are not on great terms, but he is asking me to pray, that is amazing. I do not know the condition of my brother's spiritual heart but I pray it is turning back to God.
Prayers sent for Lynette, Paul and baby.
Please now extend your gentle hand
And save Lynette
and her baby
whom You brought into this world
Because You love them. Amen.
Prayers lifted....
My prayers to mom and baby. But I would think problems associated with the liver, would be the easiest to correct. Just drink lots of water, rest, and follow other guidelines for liver problems...
Just remember: God is in control and sometimes the docs are wrong. Prayers going up.
Prayers for Paul, Lynette, and their baby. Special prayers for the medical caregivers, and all who pray.
The Lord be with them.
Prayers up.
I will also ask endocrine and Obstetricians here in NY about this in case there are options they haven't been told about or something new as in treatment and studies.
God bless them, tell them to have courage.
Prayers that the baby will be able to stay in the womb as long as possible and both mom and baby's health will not be damaged. Keep us updated.
Praying hard for a good outcome for both mother and baby. Sounds like a miracle is needed -- praying for one.
Our prayers for Lynette, the baby and your brother.
Miracles do happen..... I'm a 24 week miracle!!...
Our love and hugs from Texas.....

My family has been through similar situations twice:
When my youngest brother was born, he was 10 weeks early and given very little chance of survival. He was sick throughout his early years, but gradually grew stronger. By his senior year in high school, he was a nationally ranked track star. After college, he received an Army commission and went throught Ranger school and he is now a successful attorney.
When I was sixteen, I had a cousin who was born three months premature. He had severe organ abnormalities and only lived four days. My aunt and uncle held him as he died, they have told me that they would not trade that time with him for anything in the world.
Thank you all for your prayers and God Bless.
Prayers up!
I will offer prayers to the Lord to help heal the baby, your brother, the pregnant mother; both in the body and especially in the spirit.
Will certainly pray. Thanks for the pings and allowing me the priveldge to pray and see God work.
Father, You told us You hear us when we cry to You. We cry out to You now: heal Lynette. Heal her baby. Fill Paul with peace and the knowledge of Your love.
You are God, and only You know what will be. You will do what You will - but You have said our job is to pray for healing. Give us eyes to see Your Hand; give us faith to see Your Will. We pray for this little baby, for this young mother, in Jesus name - we pray as You taught us to pray...
You hear us, O God. Praise be to He Holds us in His Hands.
We will pray for the whole family for courage and bolstered faith and for the health of mother and baby today.
