I just rcv'd this email from a dear family friend:
Dear Friends and Family,
My mom just called with an urgent prayer request for my brother Paul and his pregnant wife Lynette. What I have been told is that she has a disease called "Fatty Liver of Pregnancy" and that the doctors may consider delivering the baby n sometime within the next few weeks without much hope of the baby surviving. The baby is due the end of June. What my parents have been told is the baby would probably not make it if Lynette carried her to term and it would destroy Lynette's liver to continue the pregnancy. Please pray for healing and wisdom for everyone involved. I cannot imagine the choices that my brother and the doctor's are going to have to make. The agony of it all. I know that God is sovereign and not even this is surprising him. Please PLEASE pray for them. Pray for a healing for Lynette and strength for the baby and all involved. My brother and I are not on great terms, but he is asking me to pray, that is amazing. I do not know the condition of my brother's spiritual heart but I pray it is turning back to God.
Paul and Lynette, may God's love, peace, healing, guidance and understanding be with you.

Sending urgent prayers of healing and protection for Lynette and her preborn baby... sending prayers for the doctors that they are able to continue to provide the very best care for both of them as long as possible and that a safe delivery and complete recovery for both is fulfilled. Prayers for Paul and their family... God be with them always.
My family will be praying for your sister and her unborn child. A note of encouragement to you all - if the baby were born now, rather than the end of June, it would be at around 28 weeks gestation. While very premature, this is far from an automatic death sentence for the child. On the contrary, the survival rate for children born at this gestational stage is high compared to only 10 years ago. Be not afraid, for the Lord is with you.

That's what caught my eye. Is there something with the little one we don't know, because the baby would be a 26-28 weeker and those little ones do pretty well.
My son was a 23-24 weeker and during our time in the NICU we saw ALOT of 27 or so weekers and they did pretty well.
Anyway, God is in control.

Thank you for bringing us the opportunity to pray for your friend and the family. I can't imagine the fear they must have. I pray that God will help them get through all this. I hope and pray for Lynette and the baby and everyone who loves them.
