Prayer request
KAC | 3/17/06 | Knitting a Conundrum

Posted on 03/17/2006 4:23:43 AM PST by Knitting A Conundrum

Dear friends, please lift my husband up in prayer. He is facing a very serious situation at work, and all the prayer support he could get would be very appreciated.

O Lord, not our will but yours. But Lord, do please help us realize in our anxieties and fears, what is your will, and to do as you would have us to do, in your way, and in your time. Lord, you are our light and our strength. Be our mercy, and lift us up on eagles' wings. Be with my husband, and all working men and women as they face crises at their work, and give them the strength to see your will, and follow in your steps. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

An uplifting hymn about trust;

...ON EAGLES' WINGS...

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in his shadow for life,
Say to the Lord:
"My refuge, my rock in whom I trust!"

And he will raise you up on eagles' wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of his hand.

Snares of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear;
Under his wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.

And he will raise you up on eagles' wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of his hand.

For to his angels he's given a command
To guard you in all of your ways;
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot a-gainst a stone.

And he will raise you up on eagles' wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of his hand.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You will never leave nor forsake Your children. How we praise You, O Lord, for Your goodness and mercy. May we always look to You for the guidance, wisdom, and judgment that keep us upon the right path, avoiding the pitfalls of unhappiness. Direct Knitting's beloved husband in the way that he should go, O Lord, to the Glory and Honor of Your Name. Blessed be Your Name, now and forevermore, Amen ...
