Fr. Rutler, like Fr. John Corapi, is as orthodox as they come. God bless them both!

Great article.
There's a lot of substance to it. I'm reading through it a second time.

EWTN had Fr. Corapi's "Wake Up America" on last night. He came on just the way it is supposed to be told about sin, abortion, politicians, Bishops etc.
I have ordered the tape and will try to have my parish play them to make sure the parishioners understand what sin is and the seriousness of it and its potential to destroy America. I just do not think many or most really get it.

The saints have reiterated this: Unsought mortifications are more difficult than self-prescribed ones. Patience with long lines at the supermarket, rock music on public address systems, and the wrong people running things can be harder spiritual trials than fasts and vigils. If 40 days pass with our thinking we have kept a good Lent, we have kept a bad one. Note to self: this doesn't JUST mean the church.

As it happens, I spent a wonderful morning at Fr. Rutler's Mass yesterday, as set forth in
The Judge Report. What a terrific experience!
