NBC's anti-Christian program The Book of Daniel has been cancelled! Your efforts, combined with those of hundreds of thousands of other AFA Online supporters, had an impact.
NBC's decision to pull The Book of Daniel shows the power of the pocketbook. NBC didn't want to eat their economic losses. Had NBC not had to eat millions of dollars each time it aired, NBC would have kept The Book of Daniel on the air. Because of your efforts, the sponsors dropped the program. NBC then decided it didn't want to continue the fight.
Even an impassioned plea by Daniel's producer Jack Kenny could not match your participation. "Ordinarily, I would never ask anyone to do this, but the AFA and bullies like them are hard at work to try and prevent you from seeing these beautiful shows, and that is censorship—pure and simple. And that is both un-Christian and un-American," Kenny wrote. His attitude is typical in today’s society. Non-Christians telling Christians what is Christian.
People like Kenny don't want people like you to have a voice. They want to deny you the right to get involved. You are supposed to sit back and take the trash. And when you do speak up they call you names.
This shows us that we don't have to simply sit back and take the trash, but we can get involved and fight back with our pocketbooks. I want to thank the 678,394 individuals who sent emails to NBC and the thousands who called and emailed their local affiliates.

What is "NBC"?
It's mind-boggling how stupid Hollywood is. No doubt, they pay BIG BUCKS for great show ideas and slurp up the trashiest fare and it gets shot down after 1 or 2 shows. To think that someone GOT PAID for this show...sheesh.
...and still they have the gall to ask "what anti-Christian bias?"

While it's just as well this piece of codswollop died a-borning, at the same time I wonder what on earth DOES have a chance these days. The "Book of Daniel" was biased, but it was brave enough, sort of, to try something, ANYTHING, different from the usual crime dramas/reality rip-offs. Does anyone here recall "God, Bob, and the Devil"? (Let me duck down before you start with the rotten eggs, folks.)
Mr. Kenny needs to consult a dictionary. Censorship occurs when a governmental body prevents the dissemination of information. Since no governmental body was involved in this action, this was not censorship. It was something else entirely; the free market.
Ever watch Seventh Heaven? It's a drama about a pastor and his wife and his kids. The kids get involved in pre-marital sex and other such things, but it's handled from the viewpoint that these things are not great things to do and that there are often undesirable consequences.
I agree...creativity in Hollywood is at a low eb. It's a sad day though that the "creative elite" (for lack of a better word) have such degraded morals that cheap shots at Christian ministers (making his family totally dysfunctional) and ficticious perverted cowboys (glorifying divorce for the sake of sodomite "love") are the motivators for creative efforts.
I remember the movie "Pulp Fiction" with all the acclaim it recieved. Surely a very creatively produced, thoughtfully written, well done movie....with a seriously grotesque, perverted and nihilistically evil morality behind it.
I and millions of other Americans with Judeo-Christian values just don't understand the Hollywood elites' moral tin ear.
Thank God & thanks to everyone who took action to put this sort of trash where it belongs...in the bin. This piece of garbage WASN'T about "art", or "creativity", or "taking risks" or any other noble-sounding label someone wants to attach to it. It was - and make no mistake about this - Kenny's PERSONAL VENDETTA against Christianity. He is a sexually active homosexual who has become just one more shrill & shrieking harpie toward Christians who refuse to discard the Scriptures for the sake of accepting & endorsing his disordered sexuality & abominable behavior. The Book of Daniel was the product of Kenny's personal rage & desire for revenge & NBC deserved to be hit hard in the pocketbook for ever letting this trash see the light of day.
