Hi everyone...I received this in a FRmail tonight, and am pinging Logan's Prayer Warriors to a call of prayer.
My father (his name is Dusty) was taken to the Emergency room yesterday afternoon complaining of not being able to breathe. He's been sick for ~ 3 days, but we didn't think too much of it. But when he started falling out of his chair, it was time to go see the doctor. His doctor took one look at him and admitted him to the hospital. (This is ~3:30pm)
Around 8:00, he was admitted to the ICU.
I haven't gotten any information yet, 'cause I couldn't get away from work last night. (Hubby was there for me, tho.)
Now comes the really fun part: He was unemployed at the time, with no health insurance. (But that will be dealt with if he makes it through this.)
Would you make a post and ping others, since I won't be able to do it, and won't be back for some time to write it out either? I'm needing some reinforcements on this one, because it's looking something serious.
You can post my name, and his, with my permission.
Thank you for the update...and continued prayers from Texas...

Wonderful news. Prayers continue for your Dad's recovery.
Thank you for the update on your dad
Sending more prayers
If I may, this can be used for all of our edification: whenever someone is having trouble breathing, it should be considered a medical emergency.
Thank you..very much.
Wonderful news ... God continue to bless your Dad and your family with continuing progress and good news. Sounds like
daughter's giving Dad a bit of wisdom ;).
BTTT
Wonderful news! Thank God! Our prayers will continue until the improvement is complete and your dad's healthy once more.
Please remember that the "care giver" needs rest too!
Love and hugs to you........
"TT", Beth & Nana
Thank you, Lord!
So glad to hear that your Dad is improving.
Prayers continue for Dusty and your family.
Maigrey you said "his hospital therapists are a joke, and I have to tell you that seems to be the case here as well. I have a friend who's father is going thru a lot and it took fighting tooth and nail from my friend to get them to give him his meds correctly. It also took fighting to get them to give him a shower at a time other than 3 AM. You are a miracle for your father. Keep keeping watch ~ maybe that's what he needed....to know how much you care. *HUGS!*
Thank you, God.
Those sessions get the blood apumpin', as evinced by his elevated BP this afternoon. (It was a tough session.)
I also informed his nurse he got a treat today - 2 sugar free peppermint patties - so his blood sugar will be elevated when she was supposed to come back in after I left today. He needed some positive reinforcement.
All in all, they know I am running the show, and if there is something I don't understand or don't like, I will speak up.
Finally, I think he does realize that I do care, but moreover, he realizes that I am capable of handling a difficult situation, without needing him to tell me how to handle it.(in essence, I've grown up in his eyes.)
Now, if I can just get him to quit trying to battle me on everything and every little detail, things will be just peachy keen!
If you learn that trick, would you pass it on?? He he he! *HUGS!*
Thankful to hear that your dad is improving, Maigrey.
Continuing to keep y'all in prayer. God bless.
