So you see Rome as the Home Office?

Romam Bishop is in schism with the rest of the Church over some theological issues. Rome remains a particular Church withing the Church whose authority stems from Apostolic succession.

More likely as a troubled franchisee.

Nice little gameplan, Gamecock -- get the Apostolic Church to squabble over their differences instead of focusing on the question at hand.

If you want to talk about doctrinal differences the Catholic and Orthodox have -- there are posts to that extent

If you want to talk about POLITICAL differences between CAtholics and Orthodox or Catholic and Protestant -- there are posts to that extent as well and some things like the Popes as the ruler of the bishops (a line the Catholic Church no longer takes).

But, this post is quite clear on what it's arguing about -- by grace of God ALONE or not. And That's a point on which the Orthodox and Catholic see eye to eye, so don't divert the issue here. The question is should we all believe in what Luther postulates or not
