I was being sarcastic - what they are asking for are essentially indulgences for homoseuxal behavior, linked to the dollars they give. Is this not a correct historical reference?

They are going to have to do alot better than a buck. Cheapo homosexuals.

They have found out that the support of business is for sale. The Dallas Morning News just came out opposed to the state constitutional amendment for normal marriage. I guessed what it would happen from the tenor of their coverage, and because a month ago a whole magazine of "gay" advertisements came out.

"Hard to see the point of this activism. To let the Church know how many people are gay?"

Whether they know it or not all they are doing is slapping GOD with the arrogance of their sin. They aren't even coming to church with a humble heart or a repentant attitude, rather they are coming to make a statement that they can make the rules in GOD's house on GOD's planet in GOD's universe. It's like the ants standing in front of the farmer plowing his field and thinking they will stop him.

I suppose its easier than printing up three-dollar bills.
From sodomy to simony in one easy step.

Its the same attitude with rainbow sashers and Dignity USA. Remember the Rainbow sashers in the Archdioceses of St. Paul-Minneapolis? Victoria Welle received Communion although she was wearing a rainbow-colored ribbon. She began breaking up the host and distributed the pieces to sash wearers around her. "I'm a eucharistic minister, and I felt it was appropriate to offer the body of Christ" to others, she said.
In Chicago, Dominican "Sister" Donna Quinn, director of the National Coalition of American Nuns, and Rick Garcia, director of an Illinois gay rights organization, said that they and Joseph and Barbara Parot of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays shared their Communion hosts with sash wearers. What on earth is the point of these activities??? The communion isn't valid, in fact the recepients of the stolen hosts are only digging themselves deeper into condemnation.

I wasn't familiar with these other incidents. I am a old time bible thumping Baptist. Let me pass on a personal experience, my wife and I were looking for a church after we had moved to a "trendy" part of town in 1997 and went to a Church of Christ service. The pastor talked at length about a wonderful "commitment" ceremony they had the previous day. We were clueless. We filled out a visitation card and the pastor called during the week. My wife asked about the "commitment" ceremony. The pastor explained that two homosexual men wanted to be "married" and they couldn't legally do that yet, so they held commitment ceremonies instead. My wife explained to the pastor he should be ashamed of himself, open his Bible and read it, that his actions were not only sinful but that GOD will have a special punishment for him because of the position he holds.
The attack on our culture is across all denominations.
