Attorney: gay priest gave dog Communion
Michigan News ^ | October 3, 2005 | Matt C. Abbott

In what seems to be one of the worst – if not the worst – archdiocese in terms of the presence of non-celibate homosexual clergy, the saga of Miami whistle-blowing priest Andrew Dowgiert continues.

The following is the most recent (edited) update from Father Dowgiert’s attorney, Sharon Bourassa:

“We met with the canon lawyer on September 30 for four hours.  He came in from Rome and is considered to be one of the best.  We gave him all we have and he was shocked by the bigger picture of what is going on in our archdiocese.

“He has asked that we present him with a report of everything [Bourassa’s private investigator] has uncovered on the sexual and financial improprieties of the local clergy:  homosexual activity, stealing, drugs, parties, and an incident in which the Sacred Host was given to a homosexual priest's dog at a Mass with other homosexual priests.  [Bourassa was informed of that particular incident by an archdiocesan official.]

“We have the Pink Mafia under our noses in this entire archdiocese.  We need to stop being blind.  Good priests are leaving or are so oppressed that they can't stand it anymore. Their names and what they know will be provided to the Vatican.”

Watch this column for future updates on Father Dowgiert’s case and the goings-on in the Archdiocese of Miami.

NINTH STATION
Jesus falls for the third time

V/. Adoramus te, Christe, et benedicimus tibi.
R/. Quia per sanctam crucem tuam redemisti mundum.

From the Book of Lamentations. 3:27-32

It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Let him sit alone in silence when he has laid it on him; let him put his mouth in the dust - there may yet be hope; let him give his cheek to the smiter, and be filled with insults. For the Lord will not cast off for ever, but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion, according to the abundance of his steadfast love.

MEDITATION

What can the third fall of Jesus under the Cross say to us? We have considered the fall of man in general, and the falling of many Christians away from Christ and into a godless secularism. Should we not also think of how much Christ suffers in his own Church? How often is the holy sacrament of his Presence abused, how often must he enter empty and evil hearts! How often do we celebrate only ourselves, without even realizing that he is there! How often is his Word twisted and misused! What little faith is present behind so many theories, so many empty words! How much filth there is in the Church, and even among those who, in the priesthood, ought to belong entirely to him! How much pride, how much self-complacency! What little respect we pay to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, where he waits for us, ready to raise us up whenever we fall! All this is present in his Passion. His betrayal by his disciples, their unworthy reception of his Body and Blood, is certainly the greatest suffering endured by the Redeemer; it pierces his heart. We can only call to him from the depths of our hearts: Kyrie eleison – Lord, save us (cf. Mt 8: 25).

PRAYER

Lord, your Church often seems like a boat about to sink, a boat taking in water on every side. In your field we see more weeds than wheat. The soiled garments and face of your Church throw us into confusion. Yet it is we ourselves who have soiled them! It is we who betray you time and time again, after all our lofty words and grand gestures. Have mercy on your Church; within her too, Adam continues to fall. When we fall, we drag you down to earth, and Satan laughs, for he hopes that you will not be able to rise from that fall; he hopes that being dragged down in the fall of your Church, you will remain prostrate and overpowered. But you will rise again. You stood up, you arose and you can also raise us up. Save and sanctify your Church. Save and sanctify us all.

All:

Pater noster, qui es in cælis:
sanctificetur nomen tuum;
adveniat regnum tuum;
fiat voluntas tua, sicut in cælo, et in terra.
Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie;
et dimitte nobis debita nostra,
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris;
et ne nos inducas in tentationem;
sed libera nos a malo.

Eia mater, fons amoris,
me sentire vim doloris
fac, ut tecum lugeam.

I guess people will continue to deny that SSAD is of and from Satan.

I hope those responsible repent and find forgiveness, because this kind of thing is an express ticket to hell.

Fr. Corapi has videotaped a series on Fatima. He devotes one hour to an angel's visitation to the 3 children. Here is Sr. Lucia's recollection. I am posting this prayer for those who feel compelled to pray in repentance for the sins committed by those who slander and abuse our Lord, Jesus Christ.

* * * * *

We spent the day there (Cova da Iria), in spite of the fact that the rain had stopped and the sun was shining in a clear sky. We ate our lunch and began to say the Rosary. After that we began to play a game with pebbles. We had only been at it a few moments when a strong wind began to shake the trees and we looked up to see what was happening, since it was such a calm day. And then we began to see, in the distance, above the trees that stretched to the east, a light whiter than snow in the form of a young man, quite transparent, and as brilliant as crystal in the rays of the sun. As he came near we were able to see his features. We were astonished and absorbed and we said nothing to one another. And then he said:

Do not be afraid. I am the angel of peace. Pray with me.

He knelt, bending his forehead to the ground. With a supernatural impulse we did the same, repeating the words we heard him say:

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love You. I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not  love You.

After repeating this prayer three times the angel rose and said to us:

Pray in this way. The hearts of Jesus and Mary are ready to listen to you.

And he disappeared. He left us in an atmosphere of the supernatural that was so intense we were for a long time unaware of our own existence. The presence of God was so powerful and intimate that even among ourselves we could not speak. On the next day, too, this same atmosphere held us bound, and it lessened and disappeared only gradually. None of us thought of talking about this apparition or any pledge of secrecy. We were locked in silence without having willed it.

Although the angels, too, can appear in more mundane fashion, it must have suited the divine purposes to reveal to the children something of the holiness of God. Lucia tells us of the lingering effect it had on them.

His words sank so deeply into our minds that we never forgot them, and ever after we used to spend long periods on our knees repeating them, sometimes until we fell down exhausted.

Please remember this whistleblowing priest in your prayers. There are several priests who, over the years, attempted to reveal the covert activities of gay priests in their respective dioceses. All of these priests died, often under suspicious circumstances. One was a very orthodox priest serving in a nearby parish. Evil knows no bounds.

If the article did not state otherwise I would have assumed this occurred in Massachusetts.

As someone stated earlier, this act gets you a space on the express elevator to hell.

“We have the Pink Mafia under our noses in this entire archdiocese. We need to stop being blind. Good priests are leaving or are so oppressed that they can't stand it anymore. Their names and what they know will be provided to the Vatican.”

In some ways this is the most frightening statement. Honest priests who know too much have a tendency to to be found dead. The Vatican can only do so much to protect them.

The story of the Prayer of St. Michael, Our Lady's words at Fatima...you can't help but think about it.

The initial reports of this whole affair made Dowgiert seem like a loose cannon who was kicking up a stink because he had been disciplined. His allegations seemed wild, and indiscrimminate. Now, I'm not so sure.

Truth has become stranger than fiction and it's sad to say that after the revelations over the last year or two about homosexual clergy, nothing seems unbelievable anymore.

Sad times.

The upcoming document on homosexual ordination had better make a statement or the Church in this country will be destroyed from within.

It's not just here ... it's the same in other western countries as well.

Is this a true story, or has it been printed and then looking for back up evidence

Roman Catholic Faithful (http://www.rcf.org/) lists several of these priest on their web site. Fr. Minkler, the one I mentioned above, had been working with them. When he received the call from the Chancery, RCF put him in touch with another priest who offered him a safehouse. Unfortunately, Fr. Minkler decided to stay and confront the situation. He was found dead the next day.

Matt Abbott is an excellent investigative reporter. I have no reason to doubt him. Freeper 'marshmallow' may know more about the situation. I included the request for anyone in the Miami Diocese with more detailed information, to contact those in charge of the investigation.

If the dog also had been given wine, we would have SPCA documentation.

Though with a scornful wonder
Men see her sore oppressed,
By schisms rent asunder,
By heresies distressed,
Yet saints their watch are keeping,
Their cry goes up, "How long?"
And soon the night of weeping
Shall be the morn of song.
