St. Francis' Prayer Before the Crucifix
Most High
glorious God,
enlighten the darkness
of my heart.
Give me
right faith,
sure hope
and perfect charity.
Fill me with understanding
and knowledge
that I may fulfill
your command.

(The Office of the Keys should be exercised as some ministry needs to be exorcised.)

I think in the Latin Church, in addition to today being the feast day of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Lesser Lent begins. I think Lesser Lent is mostly celebrated by Monks, and involves fasting, prayer, etc, and stays in effect until Great Lent. Though I can't figure out how or why the Advent season doesn't suspend Lesser Lent?

The Latin Church celebrates his feastday on September 14.Mmmm. September 13.
September 14 is thankfully another day we all celebrate together, The Exaltation of The Cross.
