I see that you have attracted some flames for telling the truth about Mary Worship.

They lift the name of Mary up to the very same pinnacle where only God's name belongs.

To even state "The Most High" to describe her name is heretical, then they attack YOU as the demonic one. They are truly blind, and will not accept instruction from anyone but their own church.

That article is yet another horrific example of how they try to link the power of Christ to Mary as though the work of Christ as insufficient.

I think your statement is very well put and accurate. It is demonic. We should shrink back from idolatry and from anything that takes away from the glory that rightfully belongs to Christ.

But don't even think you can convince them of this. The powerful grip of this idolatry is almost insurmountable. I know first hand how hard it is for people, especially older people with a Catholic background to get freedom from the FEAR and anxiety of idol worship in Catholicism. Very much like breaking the grip of a cult like Mormonism. In fact the two operate very similarly.

You call that FLAMES? Good gracious, you are too sensitive for FR!

I'm sure there are some Catholics, probably the elderly and credulous, who mistakenly worship Mary. But since when do we judge a church on the flights of fancy of some of its members? The Catechism is abundantly clear regarding the status of Mary, and it is nothing like you describe. Read for yourself.

Yes. In both cases, you have a self-aware spiritual entity putting on a mask in order to hijack devotional energies that properly should be directed to God. The demonic can be beautiful, in a weird kind of way. Answering prayers, granting mystical experiences, exhorting to righteous living, all in the name of a substitute deity. But the weirdness around the edges sort of gives it away. You keep seeing a cloven hoof sticking out from the hem of the blue robe.

This is the kernel of your error.

CHRIST linked the power of CHRIST to Mary, when he became incarnate through her, and chose, in obedience to the Father, to redeem us through his Incarnation.

That's really right at the heart of the Gospel. In fact, St. John calls those who deny Christ come in the flesh -- and Christ came in the flesh through Mary, remember -- he calls them antiChrist.

That doesn't "make the work of Christ insufficient". That IS the work of Christ.

Before you call something "demonic", stop to remember that "demonic" is exactly what the Pharisees called Jesus.

No, we imitate Our Lord, and since we are not perfect like He is, we could never honor the Blessed Mother as much or as perfectly as He honors His mother, even though we try.

Ask Our Lord to give you His heart with which to love His mother. Just a suggestion.

**Mary Worship.**

You are mistaken.

We do not worship Mary. We only worship the Triune God.

We venerate Mary. I am sure that others have given you more details. Please educate yourself!

I agree with you NormB. Jesus Himself told His followers NOT to worship Mary on more than one occasion. Who else but satan would want worship to be for someone other than Christ alone. Mary was merely a willing instrument of God. She is NOT the mother of God, but a mere vessel for God's use. If it weren't for Mary, God would have chosen someone else to bear His flesh, the savior... if not for Christ, there would be no savior. Mary cannot save... for there is only ONE name given to men by which they are saved and it Christ, NOT Mary. Mary is only an instrument of God, which, by-the-way we are ALL instructed to be. Jesus scolded His apostles when they began to worship Mary and give her majestic titles, just as those who worship her today should be scolded. Do not be decieved. Mary worship is akin to satan worship, as satan is the one who benefits most when worship is given to any other than God. Mary is not God and not the mother of God, as God exists with or without her. Mary as a faithful servant of God would be the first to tell you NOT to worship her, but only the one that created her. People need to go to the source and stop worshipping the dead, no matter how faithful the person was during life. I ask that all who worship Mary examine the bible closely and see what God Himself says about the issue. Mary in NO WAY is an equal to God, she cannot forgive sin, she has no authority over the Holy Spirit, she never made the claims of herself that we see here, Jesus told the people NOT to worship her, she cannot bring the dead back to life, she cannot heal supernaturally.... the bible is very specific as to who we should worship, pray to, and focus our love on...and it's NOT mary or any other human. Read Matthew 12: 46-50; Mark 3:32-35; Luke 8:20,21; John 6:41-50; John 19:25-27. There are many other verses that teach about who we ARE to worship and pray to as well, and none of those mention mary or any other mortal either. Please seek the Truth from God's Word, not man's (or woman's).
