wow, this is a vanity. i think prophecies are being fulfilled all the time, and even over and over. I mean, if God is sovereign, well, what would one expect?

The area of Palestine was always a backwater nomans land since the Islamic Horde wiped out the remnants of Israel's culture 1400 years ago. Nobody set up a kingdom there, it was always just a place, not a state. ... none chose to live there or set up a kingdom there. Who would? It was an economically depressed land that barely supported the people that sustenance farmed its hot and unforgiving landscape. It was always ruled from afar, as a very poorly producing tax land by distant rulers. That changed in the early days of the Nazi Empire.

You are forgetting the Crusades of the 11th century, and the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. It was most definitely a Kingdom, and it included Gaza, where the remains of Crusader churches can still be found.

When the Crusaders arrived in the Holy Land, they found a sizable Jewish population, and wiped them out. The Islamic conquests had not eliminated the Jewish presence, and it returned after the Latin Kingdom was brought down by Saladin.

The Crusaders, in their time, believed that most of these Prophecies applied to them, and could of course point out several striking passages. But they could not foresee the end.

I agree with you, American entanglements with the State of Israel and other states/parties in the middle east is a no win situation for America. We should end all these foreign entanglements and all foreign aid to ALL parties in the middle east.

There are prophecies coming about destruction in America and I believe it's in exact proportion to what we're doing to Israel.

I do not usually get into discussions on religion. God knows that he has given far greater wisdom and knowledge to others than he has to me. But, I think your wisdom here is all wet when it comes to all Philistia being long gone when King Ahaz died in 715 BC. The Philistines did not disappear until about the time of the Maccabees, 2nd. century BC. Although they occupied the southwestern plains of Palestine and David did subdue them (2 Sm 5, 17-25), they became practically independent under the separated kingdom and may have been the Philistia referenced in Isaiah 14:28

Both the Assyrians and the Philistines were probably of Semitic origin, descendants of Asshur, one of the sons of Shem (Gn 10:22). Assyria was not destroyed until about 605 BC.
Isaiah 14:29 speaks of a rod which is believed to be an Assyrian oppressor whose identity is uncertain.

I think that Isaiah speaks of these people just as it says.

You are correct in that Isaiah 14 deals with the judgment of Israel's neighbors and distant blood kinsmen [sons of Abraham].

The book of Isaiah chapters 13:1-23:18, Jeremiah 46:1-51:64,and Ezekiel 25:1-32:32 all deal with the same group of nations.

There are two groups of nations that God judges for their treatment of Israel throughout history and to the present.

One is the nations of her kinsmen, nations local to the middle east. The other are the gentile nations of the world.

He judges both but at different times. With her kinsmen He judges them in Ezekiel 38&39 in the so called War of Gog and Magog and which involves local players in a relative local area of the globe.

The rest of the nations of the world are dealt with in the battle of Armageddon which has disastrous effects on the whole planet and in which all of the nations world is involved.

In it you have a western confederation of nations led by the Antichrist and the Kings Of the East coming against Israel which is an entirely different set of adversaries from those in Ezekiel.

You will notice in The book of Revelation that speaks of this battle there is no mention of the players in the War of Gog and Magog who have already been dealt with in Ezekiel at an earlier time.

You are right that the U.S. is not a very good friend of Israel. What is surprising to most people if you really study the history you'll find out as a nation we never have been.

We have basically only given lip service as far as the government is concerned.

. We have never come to their aid in any of the four major attacks they have suffered even though each time it looked like they faced certain annihilation. Each time it was the miraculous intervention of God who saved them.

We didn't even vote for them to become a nation in 1948 and we have certainly given their enemies as much money in aid as we have ever given them and for a bonus we gave them Yassar Arafat and the PLO.

Our next generous offer on the immediate horizon is a full blown terrorist state right in the middle of their homeland .

Throughout the Bible God has repeatedly warned Israel about placing their faith in foreign alliances instead of Him. Every time they have they have paid a heavy price for doing so including the one with us.

The reason you don't see much in prophecy about the U.S.is because we fast becoming just becoming part of the crowd of the Commercial and Religious Babylons we find in the Bible.

As Diane Alden would say We're no longer a Constitutional Republic but a Commercial Republic.

Some commentary on the future from our own American in Israel.

I've been following pretty close the situation in Gush Katif. The next 48 hours is going to be critical.

I also believe, as I have said before, the grievous wound which is even now being inflicted on the House of Israel, because Sharon has bowed to the demands and pressures of a G-d hating world instead of bowing to the Holy One of Israel, is going to put Jewish blood in the waters of the Middle East, inciting the killer sharks of demonic Islam into a frenzy.

It will be the IDF once again called to deal with this mess. May they model the courage and audacity—as they always have—of Joab and Abishai...

"...Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight." [1Ch 19:13]

..and prevail mightily in the months ahead.

President Bush, for good or for evil, is in G-d's Hands. My Pastor was one of many who met with then NSA Condoleeza Rice and challenged the Administration in behalf of Israel. So none can say they weren't advised.

The Clash of Ideologies You might be interested in this one. The author dropped me a note through my site. An extensive read with a lot of Church history from the early centuries and up to today.

I am planning on writing an extensive review and dropping numerous copies in the mail to my church's Senior Staff and their affiliates.

I am calling it the definitive work of our times, for too many reasons to list here. That being so, it is a manuscript you might find profitable. Most that has been written on Islam in the last four years has been secular in worldview and dealing with the nuts and bolts of Islam.

This author worked within the Islamic world, and as a Christian, deals with it as a threat in great, great detail from a Biblical and spiritual perspective.

I find it interesting that you can write an article like this when you do not have a good understanding of the Bible at all. I suggest you read it again.
The Jews are not God's 'heirs' as is assumed and over 80% of the so-called Jews in Israel are not even Jewish blood from Europe. I suggest you look into the Zionist movement and its inception and their historical background firstly.
The land was taken from the Jews as God forewarned and thus Babylon controlled them. When did you see that Israel controlled their own country after that 72 years? Never. And these so-called ones in Israel are NOT Jews. Read Revelation 2:8 and again 3:8.
I agree with your point of views about USA as it relates to prophecy and this is why most Americans always say "I don't see where the USA fits into prophecy" This is because the prognosis is not good for America.
You may be a journalist and cannot be expected to know all but there are many things which have been kept hidden and God is now allowing these things to come out of the darkness where they were created and if a person wants to know the TRUTH bad enough they WILL find it.
Paul wrote in the letter to the Galatians that there is neither Jew nor Gentile and if you still believe that the Jews are His chosen people then you are greatly deceived as is most of the world. Those who choose Christ are his and none other. Those who believe in this Jew/Christianity are actually Christian Zionists.
See the following URL's:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Zionism
http://www.christianzionism.org/
http://www.meguiar.addr.com/Jacob_Esau.htm
http://www.rense.com/general24/al.htm
just a few sites to ponder

I am not a hater of Jews (as in real ones, I am part myself). I have no respect for those who call themselves Jews and are not but are liars. Even Orthodox Jews do not approve of the nation of Israel.
You also have a flagrant disregard for Arabs (especially Palestinians) and God loves them too. 40% of Palestinians are Christian also and they are OUR brothers just the same as any nationality of people who are Christian.
I suggest you go to God and ask Him for extreme guidance because He has shown me so many things and if you are in a position of impressioning the world with your 'word' then make sure you understand His Word.
Nancy

Thanks Much. Excellent analysis, I think. Anointed, even. Finally read to the end of it. I think it is far more accurate than not.

I think this part is interesting. I've read that the following is to be the rule; the SOP; the way of the law in the NWO Global government. It MAY be possible to get by with a first time parking ticket. But the 2nd time, this would be the sentence on the spot. And all greater "crimes" would garner such "justice" on the spot by whatever law enforcement happened along or got involved:

Instead of a trail and public execution, the roaming Hamas thugs make Islamic Fatwas on the spot and slaughter any passerby's that are deemed not Islamic enough.

Certainly time to be walking close to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

This Saturday is the evening of the Sabbath before the 9th of Av on the Hebrew calendar. This is an important day in History, a day of disaster that affects the world. It is the day of the destruction of both temples, a day of the beginning of the Spanish Inquistion, a day of the beginning of the World Wars in Europe. It is the day of the beginning of the expulsion of the Jews from their land by the United States of America. It is a day of infamy, of disaster and of historical shifts of the mega sort.

I confess that I used to think such things were mere coincidence. But I've realized over the decades GOD ALMIGHTY DOES HAVE A HOBBY, AFFINITY, PENCHANT, for such line-ups of dates, meanings, portents . . . AND, that we are fools if we pay no attention.

Let us be watchful, prayerful, circumspect and walk wisely with our God--THE GOD ALMIGHTY--THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB.
