I'm angry and nasty about it because I've seen the havoc that gets wrought by these people first hand. People driven from the Faith by the condemners who know nothing of what they speak.

I've read them, so I know "of what I speak".

I consider these people to everything they claim things like Harry Potter are: enemies of Faith weakening the Faith of the young and impressionable. They force impressionable youths to chose between that which they enjoy and that which their parent taught them under false pretenses with inaccurate "evidence" and put an ignorant face on Christianity for all see.

So if a child "enjoys" something, that makes it good? A parent's role is not to guide their children on the path of righteousness? A parent should not make judgement calls? A parent is not specifically bound to protect his or her children?

That is truly the devil's work.

Yes, protecting my children from books that endorse rebellion is "truly the Devil's work".

Guess what? We homeschool, too! We oversee everything our children study. I must be one of Satan's chief operatives!

So... are you condemning all parents who have allowed their children to read Harry PotteR? Because my folks homeschooled us - still do with my brothers - too, and they didn't think Harry Potter was distracting us from the path of righteousness. If you do such a poor job teaching your kid Truth that a novel can lead him to evil, well, then, you're not a very good parents are you?

If you think there's any occult in HP then you don't know what you're talking about.

That's not what I said, very typical deliberately misinterpretting what I say to "make" a point that doesn't exist. Try again without lying about what I said.

More LIES about what I said. I have no problem with parent doing their parental duty. I have no problem with people that don't want their kids reading HP or any other book for whatever reason they chose. What I have a problem with is people saying there's occult stuff in the series when there clearly is not. Now if you have something to say in response to what I'm ACTUALLY saying not what you are deceptively inserting into what I said I'm will to pay attention. But if all you've got is words to put into my mouth keep them to yourself.
