They fought valiantly for many years, sending petitions to the Vatican and even attempting to have the Cathedral declared an Historic Landmark ... all to no avail.
Throughout this process, Michael Brennan videotaped all aspects of the transformation from the initial meetings with Fr. Dr. Vosko, to the arrival of Hillary Clinton who spoke at another Rochester church - St. Michael's - where catholics were turned away to accomodate busloads of Salvation Army customers planted to cheer Mrs. Clinton on.

Still Proud Of Bishops He Gave U.S. Archbishop Jadot At 93 ...
Both bishops Clark and Hubbard were appointed bishops at the recommendation of Archbishop Jadot, 28 years ago. Both were quite young at the time. Both have at least 7 or 8 years before mandatory retirement.
Please pray for the catholics in these two dioceses who have been subjected to the worst forms of liturgical abuse with no hope for change in sight.

Fairyboat?
To give the padre the benefit of the doubt, the immersion pool is a piss poor design. What can you hope to do with such a monstrosity?
Would it be overly paranoid of me to suggest that parents keep their children away from this priest. The very description of how he "baptized" these infants gives me the willies.
Somebody needs to mail this video to Rome pronto! I'm sick to death of this nonsense. We faithful Catholics need to form our own "Voice of the Faithful" -- this time the name will actually mean what it says.
I'm ready to puke. I hope Pope Benedict XVI crushes them. They're not Christians, they're not Catholics, they're not Normal. They are anti-christ, they are heretics, they are abnormal.
The remnant will remain faithful to God, The Church, the Pope, the Magisterium, the Traditions and the Holy Scriptures.
The babies' butts? Ye gads. Just when one thinks one's own diocese has fallen way off track... What is up with upstate NY? Ithaca, Syracuse, Rochester - now all havens of new agey drivel. When I last lived in upstate NY, it was still fairly traditional, more so than PA and as far as I knew, the new agey stuff was limited to a few cities.

The other couple chose to have their child immersed. The baby's entire body, up to their neck, was placed into the water, and water poured over their head. They were then swaddled in a white towel.
My children also had their chest annointed with oil, with additional prayers.
We went all out. My son had on a delightful white silk and satin outfit, and my daughter has a magnificent long trained dress with pearls, beadwork, and embroidered crosses. They had special socks and even their slippers had white crosses embroidered on them. I have saved their outfits, so that they can baptise their own children in them.
They both wore a bib I made for them with a gold and silver cross of needlepoint, plus a white linen overrobe with a gold trim border, magenta cross on the back, and embroidered candle signifying God's light to the world on the front. It took me days to make these, and I have them still. Their baptism meant a lot to us; we wanted to make it special.
It's kind of funny, now that I look back on it. My children looked like a little king and queen, all trussed up, and the other baby was wearing only a white towel.
Doesn't matter though. The Lord blessed both our families, and brought beautiful little ones onto the earth to enrich our lives. Whether finely dressed or humbly dressed, what matters is their hearts, and their faith in salvation through Christ.
Huh?
"Evil" is the absence of something good from its proper place. The "good" in this example SHOULD be proper immersion (i.e., pouring upon the head, not "dipping").
These "baptisms", in my opinion, would fall under the category of "evil", since they violate the "good" procedure established since before Christ Himself was baptised on earth. This would be akin to administering the sacrament of Confession over the Internet, or delivering the Communion wafer with flavors like sour cream 'n' onion.
Ugh. I hate dragging out this word, but it's vaguely "demonic". Almost like a black mass. A perversion of the sacrament based on personal preference instead of upholding Tradition.
Pope John Paul II, in his last published book, wrote that "evil" is often found in situations where there is an apparent "good", however, there is one or more element askew, thereby making it evil. e.g., false visionaries and "miraculous" sites that produce apparently great fruit, but then a message comes along praising Allah or Buddah (or something along those lines).
The Rainbow Sash dude(tte) is kind of like the icing on the heretical cake. They could probably throw a tent over it and have a clown -- wait, that's already been done.
A subjective and entirely personal approach to Church doctrine on sexual ethics is inevitably reproduced in other areas and leads to liturgical and sacramental improvisation.
Thus, if I can decide what is and what is not sexually permissible, I can also decide how a baptism should be performed.
God understands. He gives me room to place my personal imprint on things of the Church.
Have at it.
That is just plain weird!!
