I think he was assuming you were dissatisfied with the results. You're right...you don't say that you were. You just stated the fact.

I can see how someone might test the water to see if you meant by stating the fact that you were also dissatisfied.

John Calvin saved me from pathetic flamebait posts.

He didn't do a very good job, did he?

Guess not. Despite all his efforts I'm just a typical Extreme Calvinistic naysayer.

BTW, have you made any posts actually discussing the OP at all (other than your dismissive flamebait post)? I can't seem to find any...

Those were my words Rev. I'd just as soon let the matter drop.

I am persuaded that unthankfulness is the key ingredient behind all depression.

Well, thank you for that judgment.

OUCH ... that must have made you feel better

i noticed some logical fallacies in the article, although i need to go back and read it slower to really do a comprehensive response.

No, I didn't make any other comments on this naysaying utterly dismissive article. Most of what I thought of it had already been expressed. The reason I referenced it as an example of "extreme" Calvinism is that I would suspect that many Christian Psychologists are "mainline" Calvinists. Especially those who attended Calvin College.

Why is it that John Calvin didn't make them repent of their Christian Psychology?

And BTW since I didn't ping you to my post, your response accusing me of flamebaiting was undoubtedly meant as a flame bait post to me.

I think the Religion Mod was right in advising us to refrain from posting to each other. I think it would be wise if we took his advice.

I'd say the mod's advice makes sense.

No, not yet.

I'm an ENTP, myself...which accounts for my ADD-like mode of thinking, and soul-crushing boredom with administrative tasks.

But it doesn't relieve me of responsibility for right thinking, nor for doing such administrative tasks as fall to me.

A predictable response. Thank you for that patronizing judgment. I've read enough of your posts to be wary of ingenuineness. Rather than engaging in meaningful dialogue regarding my suggestion, you've validated my assessment.

That reply was a power play, as was the post that occasioned it. You guys stopped actually conversing at least two posts ago.

At this point, I could join in the game by saying "Fascinating!"

...but I don't think I will. =]

Oh, that's just because I'm a clown. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!
