Rick warren is gearing up to train a billion people, unbeknownst to many he has also been teamed up with New Age and contemplative promoter,Ken Blanchard, for some time now. According to a new biography on Rick Warren,A Life With A Purpose wrtten by George Mair,Rick Warren has solicited the services of Ken Blanchard to aid him to train leaders:"Rick taps the best and the most famous to help train church leaders to be like Jesus. he has hired Ken Blanchard...to come to saddleback to help train people how to be effective leaders."p.193
In light of knowing who Ken Blanchard is,this is shocking and devatating news for the Church!
There is countless evidence to show that Ken Blanchard sits on the New age/mystical/contemplative bandwagon.Blanchard believes in the benefits and use of mantra meditation, yoga and has no trouble borrowing from Buddism... http://lighthousetrailsresearch.com/Pressreleasekenblanchard.htm

Clue: Neither does Rick Warren. THAT IS OUR PROBLEM TOO.
If you would like a step by step analysis of what is wrong with Rick Warren's teachings, I suggest you go here and listen to the interview of Warren Smith:
Mike Corley interviews Warren Smith
Or here and read some Biblical Critiques:
That should help you figure out what is Christian that Rick Warren refuses to define.
Rick Warren is just another (more widely successful) pusher of the Church Growth Movement fad which is unBiblical.
Thanks for your opinions.
I was talking to her post which brought in the financial issue. They have set up three foundations to distribute 90 percent of the proceeds from the book back into global ministry,I don't care where his book proceeds go. In fact, his Global PEACE plan is off base too, as lovely and holier than thou that it sounds. WE ARE HERE TO PREACH THE GOSPEL not usher in the New World order. THAT is what he is doing.
yeah right. Love those copouts. I get them all the time when the person can't support their arguments.
Just so you know, Pro610, Protagoras isn't debating, his mind's already made up. he's just opposing. But I know you can't respond to him because he asked you not to, so... since he's not interested in debating, what's the point anyway?
Thanks for your observations.
Ask yourself, you have posted rapid fire to me, and guess what? I'm not interested in debating you either. You disagree with me, oh well. Goodbye. (I hope)
BTW this is where all the proceeds from his books go. Ken Blanchard is helping to promote this "global peace" initiative.
Rick Warren, rebuilding the Tower of Babel along with a little help from his friends....
bye.
funny how people that have no answers at hand think that it's unfair that we do...
Rick Warren's proceeds go to global ministry (90 percent) -- I guess that includes this Ken Blanchard, who promotes the New Age spirituality and Buddhism. OK... that's soooo Christian.
Even TIME magazine acknowledged:
Though criticized for preaching Christianity lite, Warren led by example, giving away 90% of his royalties, campaigning against hunger and expanding a drug-recovery program for prison inmates link
Do you really think he's in it for the money?
Mindful of the checkered history of high-profile evangelists, Warren and his wife seem determined to be the anti Jim and Tammy Faye. "I want to live above reproach," says the man whose role model is Billy Graham, explaining why he avoids being alone with women other than his wife. The Warrens, who have three grown children, live comfortably but relatively modestly in a $360,000 tract home and the reverend drives a Ford SUV. In 2003, with royalties from the bestseller pouring in, Warren stopped taking his $110,000 annual salary from Saddleback and refunded all of the salary the church had paid him over 24 years. The Warrens keep only 10% of the book royalties and give the rest away to Saddleback and to the charitable foundations they established to support the church's mission projects, which include fighting poverty, illiteracy, and disease especially AIDS here and abroad. link
More guesses and opinions with no evidence. False witness.
A breath of fresh air.
I know,
How dare we protect what is Biblical.
According to them they have the ability to Christianize anything.
What,s next a Christian Crystal Ball or maybe Christian Tarot Cards?
Unbelievable!
It's one thing to disagree with a man's theology. It's quite another to libel him. I have no problem with the former. The latter is unconscionable. (Of course, that's exactly what's going on with regard to Oral Roberts on another thread - a lovely example of the decline of FR).
I agree entirely, but since it was my only point and I didn't want to do "dueling verses", I put a few noses out of joint.
Where is your proof to back up your statement, or is this just your opinion too. Did you actually read any of those articles in depth, checking out scripture and the references? If so, when? The evidence is overwhelming that Warren is not leading people down the path of righteousness in the Lord's eyes. Those who have eyes...
The evidence of your opinion is quite heavy.
