Part of me was afraid you'd say that, while the other part is surprised. Is this what centuries of letting the hierarchy and specifically the Pope decide everything leads to? This Anglican takes a very similar view (the reason I posted the article), with the caveat that it might be possible for him to get it right once -- even a slow clock is right once in a while.

I wonder where they will do this in Seattle. Probably St. Mark's Cathedral. This picture doesn't do it justice -- it looks like a cold, concrete tomb, inside and out (though it has marvelous acoustics for a solo bagpipe; I piped there once).

Ironic that it is on "Cap Hill" -- the gay district. ("What do you call a straight couple on Cap Hill? Tourists.")

However, as I'm up to my eyebrows in alligators right now with actual, real work, and had just popped in for a quick view, I think I'll stick with my assessment, at least until I actually have time to actually think about it.

Perhaps, when I get up for air, I might actually have the time or luxury to sort it all out.

OK I haven't had time to read the thread but I have to laugh at your comment, "You ought to be screaming about this" and then the ping to me. I must be a screamer in your estimate = D! I'll read it tomorrow and probably come back screaming. But you know, I'm kind of hoarse, so much to scream about in these troubling times. ;-)

Can't argue with that! Although inserting sideways at high velocity into a certain part of Griswold's anatomy might also have some appeal. ;)
