I'm crying and I can't figure out why. I'm not Catholic.

It should be within the next half hour. I thought it was 45 minutes to withing the selection but I'm not sure how much time has elapsed.

About 1/2 hour, there are some administrative things they have to do. Not the least of which is to get him dressed.

Bless your heart!
I hope this pope whoever the Lord has given us will be loved by all like Pope John Paul II was. I pray :)

Now we need to see how much chatter was going on that was based on idle speculation or real talk.

I was too young to appreciate the significance of JPII's election. I'm so glad that I'm watching it now. It's amazing.

Do I dare think it could be? Yet how could the cardinals reject him and angree on another so soon?

I love it! Looking at the joy on all those faces, when the last time we saw the square, there were so many sad tears!
If nothing else, it's exciting to be watching history happen!

I've been a Catholic all of my 55 years, and I remember the last 3 Papal selections; but I can never remember feeling this emotional about it! When those bells started tolling, I had tears of joy streaming down my face! What a glorious day!!

All Praise To God Almighty! Pray this pontiff will return His Church to the Sacred Traditions and Dogma that are the anchor of the Roman Rite Catholic Church.
