I only saw Jewish and Muslim leaders on the Yahoo! News list.
About 12 noon EDT, a large Orthodox delegation arrived to pay respects. (I was watching streaming video from Vatican TV.) Unfortunately, I do not recognize them, but it could have been the individuals listed in post # 5.
(They happened to be there the same time as the new leader of the Ukraine.)
I have long been of the opinion that people go to funerals (and weddings for that matter) for various reasons.
And sometimes the reasons are NOT because they liked, agreed with, respected or even cared for the deceased.
I wonder if some of the people going to this funeral are going becasue they consider going to be to their ADVANTAGE POLITICALLY... or such.
What a shame.
Is Jack Chick going???
How many Patriarchs does your Church have? 12, 13... 14? Just wondering. I think this is a smal number of them on your list, isn't it?
The Orthodox Patriarch Teoctist of the Roumanians will be in attendance.
Oh, yes... I forgot about him. LOL
There are eight Orthodox Patriarchs, at Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch, Jerusalem, Moscow, Serbia, Roumania and Bulgaria.
I'm curious as to whether Bishop Fernando Areas Rifan has been invited to the funeral.
"Are any prominent DRUIDS or WICCANS going????"
Yep - Rowan Williams was there.
