The purpose of this thread is to inform persons of all faiths that ChevronTexaco as a corporation is trampling their employees' religious beliefs. I am currently an employee of ChevronTexaco's El Segundo California refinery. A couple of months ago management was approached by the CTLGEA (ChevronTexaco lesbian and gay employees association) about offering a sexual orientation, gender i.d. & gender roles in the workplace class. The CTLGEA has offered to facilitate this training and their choice of trainers is a militant lesbian by the name of Liz Winfeld. Ms. Winfeld is an "authority" on such issues as same sex marriage and transexualism in the workplace. Initally this was a voluntary training course but due to lack of participation has become mandatory for all employees. Several employees, myself included, have voiced very strong objections as to the content of the course based on our own religious convictions. The course content is highly sexually explicit and runs the gamut from same sex relationships to genital mutilation in the form of sexual reassignment surgery. Management is determined to force their religious employees to participate in this training in violation of our own conscience and may very well be violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 "Freedom of Religious Expression in the Workplace." I urge all who read this to please send a letter to the refinery general manager expressing support for the rights of employees to not engage in training which violates their conscience. The manager's name and address are as follows: Gary Yesavage 324 W. El Segundo Blvd., El Segundo, CA 90245
The president of the El Segundo chapter of CTLGEA can also be reached for comment: Kelly Mobley 324 W. El Segundo Blvd., El Segundo, CA 90245. Kelly is also the facilitator of this training course and would have the power to influence management's decision in this matter.
Quit or better yet, sue.
IOW, Give 'em Hell!
Contact Jay Sekulow at the Center for Law and Justice. They have attorneys all over the USA who take on corporations, schools, etc who mandate programs that are in opposition to a person's religious beliefs. All you have to do is contact them. They will leave your name out--which is important for any employee.
Go to the trainin and then write a letter to your manager accusing them of sexual harrassment and maintaining a work environment hostile to your religious believes and your heterosexualality.
No, I meant polygamy. Men are oriented in such a way that if they did not control their "orientation" they would be committing adultery every day. Heterosexual men are expected both by God and by society to control the desire for multiple partners and for alley-cat sexual expression. Yet homosexual men are supposedly without this ability to control their "orientation." So if heterosexual men can control their natural "orientation" to have sex with every female who comes on to them, then homosexual men should be expected (by God and society) to control their orientation.
Well, society may have given up on demanding that this alley cat homosexual behavior be controlled, but God sure hasn't. He calls it an abomonination. He expects men to either marry women or keep their pants zipped.
You spout that out and you'll raise a few eyebrows. If they fire you, then you can probably sue for religious discrimnation because you were just stating your religious opinion in a class that you were required, against your will and against your religious convictions to attend.
ping.
Homosexual Agenda Ping. Wow.
Generation_W - is this pro-homo "training" extant all over the Chevron Corp, or just at your refinery? It would be interesting to know. Like, should we stop buying Chevron gas and tell them why? As in, I won't use AT&T since they push homosexual indoctrination on their employees.
Keep us informed about the outcome of this.
Let DirtyHarryY2K and me know if you want on/off this pinglist.
Note: Thanks, DBeers, for the alerts!
You've got mail.
WriteON, sorry I hit the wrong reply.
I will add your name. Thank you very much for the valuable information. It is always helpful to have documentation about what "gay" activists are doing. If you have any more info, please post it and ping me and/or DirtyHarryY2K, as we both run this pinglist.
What's the general reaction of your co-workers towards this garbage?
Initially, most people just ignored the training as it was optional. Once it became mandatory people refused to sign themselves up for it only to be signed up against their will by the training coordinator. When this began happening a majority of my coworkers were outraged but didn't express their feelings to the managers for fear of reprisal. Our union president began receiving phone calls from employees of faith stating that the training is in violation of their religious freedom. After carefully examining federal title IIV and the EEOC website, I believe the company to be in violation of this federal law. The ACLJ website specifically addresses this issue in their Q&A section.
This fascination with jumping on the homosexual agenda bandwagon is just mindboggling.

Sorry. Hiccups.
This is good advice. The purpose of these training sessions is to protect the company from lawsuits. "I am not guilty, look at the training I have done." Because these groups sue with free lawyers donated by the ACLU.
But don't just question the practice on religious grounds. Who we associate with is of a personal nature and they have no right to complete normalcy in this world. Ask why they are so threatened by the Boy Scouts. Ask about disease statistics and how the lifestyle of the country would change if everyone were hyper about their sexual orientation, if young people were experimenting trying to see how they fit in, and if families like yours had to put up with this continual onslaught of how better the world would be if we all gave in to the "diversity" police.
They did this one year at our plant and saw that the people wanted to have "discussions" at these seminars. You will find that no matter what they say, when they have a discussion they lose control of the brainwashing. And they did not have the sessions after that first year. (I guess we were all "trained")
