Prayer Request for a favorite patient and friend

Humbly asking for all of your prayers for a former patient and friend, Michael. He suffered an unexpected stroke about a month ago at age 46. CT scans not only revealed a spot on his liver and kidney, but he has been diagnosed with Polycythemia, an abnormal over- production of his red blood cells.
They are not certain yet if it is the "vera" type, which is fatal. There is a possibility of them scheduling a bone marrow biopsy in the near future to determine if it is. In the meantime, he will be undergoing an ultrasound on March 11th to determine the nature of the "spots" on his liver and kidney. We are hoping it is the reversible type, which will allow him to live out his full life as God originally intended.
Mike is a great guy, and has always demonstrated determination in whatever faced him. He's been dealing with a chronic back pain over the last three years, which cost him his lucrative career. He's raised three boys on his own. He's never complained about it, or once felt sorry for himself. Now this. He really needs our prayers now.
Again, I ask for all of you to pray for Mike's comfort and strength in battling this illness, for his only son Daniel, and God's intercession to hopefully cure this dreaded disease.
