February 16, 2005 -- The Jesus Seminar will hold its Spring 2005 meeting, March 2 to 5, at the Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa, California. The program will focus on questions about God and the place of the historical Jesus in contemporary Christianity. Fellows of the Jesus Seminar will be joined on the program by colleagues from the U.S., Canada, England, New Zealand, and Australia.

"On Saturday afternoon, the Seminar will discuss three papers submitted by filmmaker Paul Verhoeven, director of Robocop and Total Recall, on the stories of the Leper (Mark 1:40-45), the Samaritan (Luke 10:30-35, and the Eucharist (Mark 14:25)."
And such classics as "Showgirls," "Hot Sweat," and "Starship Troopers." The man is a Dutch soft-core pornographer whom Hollywood thought might help them break down the opposition to showing NC-17 rated movies in "community" cinemas, such as in malls, etc. by creating an action-movie following and then creating high-budget porn.
"He (one of the speakers) will ask what the options are for Christianity when God becomes a problem."
I believe the only option in that case is repentance. Not something I would expect the folks of the Jesus Seminar to be very keen on.
They begin their discussion by stating at the outset that the supernatural and the miraculous is impossible and won't be considered.
Nothing like starting off with an open mind.
