In a time when George W. Bushs first-term cabinet has dissolved in a rash of resignations, the President has taken an ambitious step toward his goals for his second term. On Tuesday, Bush announced the addition of a new cabinet-level position within his administration: the Director of Eschatology and Rapture.
The head of the new department will be Dr. Tim LaHaye, pastor and bestselling co-author of the Left Behind series. Speaking of the appointment, Bush said, I figured, Timmys done such a good job of making up an imaginary rapture, hed be the best at coming up with the real thing during the next four years. Lord knows I havent had any luck getting it started myself. Besides, hes a real snappy dresser.
I think this is long overdue!
"This world is not my home,
I'm just a'passin' through
My treasures are laid up,
Somewhere beyond the blue (STATES)
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world any more....
I know the feeling.
Did you ever find yourself in the middle of your daily activities and suddenly stop as you looked around at friends, family and co-workers and say to yourself "Just who ARE these people?!?!? How the hell did I get here?
no
Uh uh. Sorry. It's just you.
LOL.
Seriously, all need to pray extra for our beloved President. He evidently has decided that Israel must give up virtually all the West Bank. God will not deal well with him nor with the USA if such is true and he follows through on it.
You would have thought Dr. LaHaye would have "saw" this one coming. :O)
I saw a Bible code that predicted it...
He was predestined for this job... :>)
Too much History Channel, apparently.
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?
