The mainlines = the anti-church.
The UMBGM is the crazy uncle in the attic.
...which is why I am no longer a Methodist.
As the United Methodist "church" is officially a pro-abort "church," nothing they do surprises me.
I grew up in the Metnodist Church. One of the reasons I left was to find a more conservative denomination. Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) since 1992 and not lookin' back.
The central church is out of their minds.
'swhy I quit going.
Ping! Remember?
Here's some recommended viewing for all Methodists:
I used to think of Methodism as a relatively conservative branch of Protestantism. Either I was wrong from the start or something happened when I wasn't looking.
But they find out, the gravy train is coming to a screeching halt.
I guess this is what they meant by their new slogan, "Open Hearts, Open Minds."
Rev. R. Randy Day would have issued a statement supporting King Herod's murdering of countless innocent children in search of finding the Christ child:
"For decades, King Herod has worked tirelessly in behalf of his supporters, and how sad it is that he died before his work could be completed."
Hello "Reverend"? (and I use that term loosely)
ARAFAT WAS AN F'IN TERRORIST & MURDERER!
Get a CLUE Magoo!
I grew up a Methodist, but after reading about the Church's praise of blood thirsty killers like Castro and Arafat, I can't bring myself to go to church anymore.
Most churchs today seem to resemble left wing 527's more than they do places of worship. The Methodist church is but one example. Look at the Catholic Church's support of the Communist in Nicaragua, back when Ortega was actually rounding up Priests.
I just can't stand the thought of even one penny of my donations going to support the WCC or similar, "Hate America / Love a Dictator" organizations.
The Wesley brothers must be turning over in their graves.
Isaiah 5
20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.
Please use original titles.
Thanks.
I left the Methodist Church 40 years ago. Liberals, socialists and commies were infiltrating back in the 60s and 70s. They own the place, now.
If one is conservative and believes in God but doesn't believe that non-Christians are going to Hell, what's a good church to join?
Sure we do, and we're doing something about it.
Check out the links. Rank and file Methodists are REVERSING the slide into liberalism. Our last two General Conferences (2000 & 2004) have voted overwhelming against the homosexual agenda. The tide has turned.
