NINE days to GO!

Re-Electing President Bush is the most important ISSUE of my lifetime, not only because the security of the United States is at stake, but also because Kerry will wreck havoc to our way of life by appointing judges that will squash the rights of the unborn, and will certainly destroy the sanctity of marriage by allowing same sex marriage.

I know for a fact that the most important religious symbol for many Latinos is the "Virgin of Guadalupe" but I also know that this particular symbol is the most IMPORTANT symbol to Mexicans and many Central Americans. I also know that these two issues are very important to many Latinos. But adding this little insentive may cause voters to swing towards President Bush.

Could the use of this symbol cause a backslash?

My question to you all, is it fair to use this symbol in support of our political goals?

Is it sacrilegious?

Is it fair game?

Your opinions and views are VERY important!

Are there any other moral issues that I may be missing. Please suggest!

John Kerry is using the Church immorally to advance his political goals

Thanks, crushelits

Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the unborn for the Americas, I believe. If you link this to Kerry's proabortion stance, in my opinion it would be most acceptable and very powerful.

I oppose the use of religious symbols in elections. I have no problem with individual candidates publicly expressing their religious views though.

If God wants Bush to be reelected he will be reelected. If God wants Kerry to be president, then there really isn't much we can do about it.

Quit panicking. God is in control.

Good advice for all. Whatever happens is happening to prepare the way for the coming of Christ.

No.

The Will of God is that we ask and he decides. Using the Blessed Mother to endorse anything is wrong. She's transcendent.

Please don't. It is not appropriate.

I'm especially appalled at wondering whether Our Lady isa "fair game". Uggghhh.

You can't say that Our Lady of Guadalupe endorses President Bush, because you can't speak for her. But you can say that Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patron of the unborn. And you can say that Bush is pro-life and that kerry is pro-abort.
