I think I'd mostly agree with you.
And, I've certainly seen many off the wall examples of Hagin's teachings. Though, if one listened to Hagin himself CLOSELY, I found him mostly Scriptural and balanced. But I think his son and most of his disciples jumped off the deep end more than a time or three.
HOWEVER, there is some very potent SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS IN:
Whatsoever a man thinks, so is he.
As well as the ones about confessing in faith with one's mouth etc. I do think such needs to come out of an earnest heart that's largely Spirit led.
I do believe that someone applying Scripture more or less as Hagin taught in child-like faith and earnestness will, in general, experience many more miracles in their lives than someone who doesn't.
The Word doesn't return void when Scripturally applied in faith.
I agree with you very much on the scriptural truth of whatever a man thinks so he is as well as confessing ones faith with ones mouth. Thank you for reiterating these truths on this board.
Hi Quix,
I have to admit that I don't know that much about Hagin's stuff. What I do know, I have not been impressed, but that is from people spouting his stuff and not from me spending much time in it. Is it Hagin that this person is spouting? I thought at least some of it was Bullinger. Some of Bullinger's stuff I like, but I am fairly sure he believes in the gap theory. I don't. But his book on Numbers in Scripture is well done.
