Requesting prayer for my Aunt and Uncle, Joyce and Fred Schork, who decided to remain in their mobile home in Punta Gorda during Hurricane Charley. They are both in their 80's.
My Dad spoke with them just before the Hurricane struck, and they thought at that time that the storm would pass to their north, and that they would be OK since their mobile home was rated to 110 MPH winds. As we know now, the storm struck Punta Gorda with winds in excess of 145 MPH.
They have not been heard from since. I have sent a Health & Welfare request through SATERN (Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network), but have not heard from them yet.
Please pray, and if anyone knows of them and their status, please post it here.
Please ping me with an update.
Many prayers and blessings for you and your relatives.

Thank you for the ping Pegita.
Father Lord we pray for all those who have been in the path of Charley, may they be found alive and uninjured, may the recover swiftly if they have been hurt, and may Your arms comfort the families who have lost Loved Ones. In the name of Jesus, amen.
Praying Jerry
I've got a some cousins , and an aunt living in Punta Gorda . Going to call home now and see if there is any news .
Love and prayers.
Offering my prayers
Prayers for Joyce and Fred. Hopefully, it is just because of the loss of power that you haven't heard from them, but I will pray for their safety.
My prayers are sent already for your loved ones and their safety! I am aghast at the death toll whatever it is!
Just talked to my Mom on Long Island . No word from anyone yet . I have 6 cousins ( and they have kids who have families ) and an elderly aunt all in Punta Gorda or Port Charlotte . Praying all are OK .
Prayers going up for yours and Jerry's relatives in PG.
Hopefully, they are ok, maybe just a little in shock. Phone lines will be down for weeks, and cellphones aren't working. Cellphone towers were exploding all over the place.
Lastly, most people probably forgot to take their personal phone directories with them, and can't remember the numbers.
Wishing the best for all FL FReepers, and all with relatives affected by the storm.
Prayers on the way!
Praying for the safety of your Aunt Joyce & Uncle Fred.
