Perhaps someone on the RELIGION forum can help us.
On tonight's Drudge thread there is some question as to the propriety of a ROMAN CATHOLIC taking communion in a NON-Catholic church.
See, for instance, my post 321:
To: tgslTakoma
The AP and Reuters stories said that he did take communion. Kerry attended Palm Sunday services, but not at a Catholic Church; he went to the Charles Street AME Church in Boston to take Communion. (It's been a very long time since my Catholic school religion classes, but I seem to remember that it's a big no-no for a Catholic to take Communion in other than a Catholic church. Maybe that rule has changed...)

In another article I read earlier today, Kerry's campaign has staffers who check out Catholic churches in advance of his attendance; they don't want any photos of Kerry being refused Communion by a priest. So he goes to a church that isn't even his religion just to get a bleeping photo op of him taking communion??
WHAT?!?!?!? ... did he think no one would notice????

He doesn't give a rip about our Sacraments or the Church's teachings;
only cares about the votes he hopes to derive from 'stupid democrat Catholics.'

And he is using this church and their religion for a photo op
That might explain the look of the gentlemen in the background with the beard

Makes it clear how uncatholic he is. He needs the catholic vote. Really, I think the average catholic won't think much one way or the other about this. If he doesn't set foot in a catholic church for awhile, it will largely go unnoticed is my guess. Wait and see. It's a family thing, too. Catholics normally don't just walk away from the church, even those who don't really have much faith.
This is a very calculated move and, while it could backfire, it could be a plus in some ways.

I "hate" him, Mo.
I hope he comes here on a Sunday.
I'll go to the same Mass, and trust me, I'll OBJECT
to his taking Holy Communion for all to hear.

Like I said-
Roman 1
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

and I will object to his partaking
in Holy Communion, for ALL to hear.
You "can" accompany me. :)

>>>Really, I think the average catholic won't think much one way or the other about this.
I see three groups, those who are die hard democrats. They won't care.
Those who are die hard pro-lifers. They will care, but it won't change their votes.
Then there is the mushy middle. They might care, it depends on how its presented to them, and whether they think he has crossed lines or not. Some will object, see www.catholicsagainstkerry.com. Someone has already registered www.catholicsforkerry.com, but I don't see a website there.
