I only just read this post. Catholics that are faithful to the Holy See and the teaching of the Church are not "New Age Catholics". This is a slur and I think you owe us an apology for use of this term.
What in the world are you talking about? I suggest you read the article one more time, this time while making an effort not to jump into your "attack/defensive" mode.
Maybe it is you who should apologize for your mistaken attack.

Your #340:
The moderators have always made their own decisions, and always will. I am talking about brawlers who refuse to cooperate, and the beneficial effect on the forum when they are no longer here brawling. Should they stay and enflame others when the moderators have forbidden that?
This is their opportunity to stop. As Sidebar Moderator has said, after Sidebar Moderator is the abyss.

I just hit the "abuse" button. Oops. Wait a minute. That was "view replies". :-)

Your tag line is offensive as it mock Protestants and call then heretics.
I have 3 points I'd like to make:
1 - The Lead Mod already gave me a conditional pass on this issue in
316 above. So perhaps the abuse-o-meter you're using needs recalibrated.
2 - Your comment is offensive to me. As it ascribes to me things which I did not say, I think it could be called an abuse.
3 - My tagline is just a corollary to the fact that of the 30,000 Protestant denominations, 29,999 must be wrong on some point of theology. I believe that is something even Protestants agree with.

Your tag line is offensive as it mock Protestants and call then heretics . Are not Catholics and your religion (whatever that may be) allowed to define heresy as they please? Since "Orthodox" can be defined as "right belief" and "heresy" as outside of those boundaries, all religious persuasions should be allowed to define these terms any which way they want to. You shouldn't be offended. Especially you. :-)

Your answer still doesn't say anything. I foresee you pushing abuse whenever you
feel someone is being "abusive".
Are you going to push abuse constantly if articles that show the fallicies of mormonism are posted?

I like your ideas.
I get very irritated when one group attacks another so viciously and without factual basis. The Catholic and Mormon bashing are particularly tiresome. The Mormons are not a non-Christian "cult", and only a vanishing few Catholic priests are pedophiles or other types of sex nuts - way less than the average population.

Perhaps you haven't heard of the Church of the Bible Believing Barnacle. It is celebrating its second week of scandal-free existence.

The Mormons are not a non-Christian "cult",respectfully of course, I am told by more than one LDS on FR that they do not accept the traditional Christian creeds, and consider the Bible accurate only "as translated".
This however is not the place for a doctrinal discussion of mormonism - however - I do ask that if you consider them errant, I will welcome your reasoned response / correction.
If mormonism is part of your belief system, my apologies if any of this is deemed offensive
If so, kindly ask the mod to delete this and forgive me
To: polemikos
No problem. The Church keeps a pretty low profile and is easy to miss.
Some folks have inquired about membership, but I don't need the headaches that go along with a congregation. - Not to mention that I'd have to change the sign from "Barnacle" to "Barnacles".

Your #352:
I foresee you pushing abuse ... Are you going to push abuse constantly Let's keep the focus where it belongs. The problem is not, and has never been, my "pushing abuse", nor is it the posting of responsible articles critical of the LDS Church, of which there have been plenty (though some even-handedness there, airing both sides, would boost credibility for you guys).
The problem is the posts containing personal attacks and false accusations. They violate the rules of this forum, and the moderators deal with that as they see fit.
If there are any who hit the abuse button too much, or irresponsibly, I would expect the moderators to ignore them over time, but Lead Moderator has told us on this thread:
Lead Moderator's #242: I have read more than my share of the threads in this forum. ... I don't think it is just that the complainers are button happy. What my own eyes see meshes with the volume of abuse reports. And the other moderators and Jim also see it this way.
