We already know how we feel about Bush, Gore, Hillary, Dean and the all of our worthless politicians, but how do you feel about God?
On PHXnews they are asking an interesting question this Christmas day. SHARE YOUR VIEWS BY VOTING.
POLL QUESTION: What religion do you follow?
Christian
New Age
Catholic
Mormon
Hare Krishna
Jewish
Islamic
Scientology
Sikh
Hindu
Siek
Atheist
Bahá'í
Buddhist
If you really want to know about Mormons just ask. It doesn't mean you have to convert.
If you come in here accusing and calling people cultists, that is simply wrong.
It doesn't matter what church someone goes to. Have a little dignity even if you don't agree.
Do you feel better or worst if your religion has the largest percentage? What does that mean?
No, and it means absolutely nothing.
If your religion has the highest percentage of voters, does that mean you're religion is winning? Explain
No, and there can be no winning.
Does a higher percentage make your religion more valuable? More acceptable? More valid in God's eyes?
Blue, 35 and turnips.
What are your thoughts?
I could tell you, but it would have to be exclusively in Klingon.
God the Father and Jesus are not the same person. No we don't believe in the Trinity. The Holy Ghost is the messenger of the Father to men.
Then was Jesus lying when he claimed to be God and the jewish religious leaders tried to stone him?
If there were, would that light your fire?
Would he, could he, in a Mazda?
Not if they are cultist! How can that be wrong? Mormons are good God fearing people who are just as sincere about Christ as any Christians. In my experience most of them do not even know their own church history or the history of scripture. Joseph Smith proved himself to be a liar. There is enough documentation out there to show this.
Do you want to see some?
I am not a historian, but from what I know there is documentation either way.
There is plenty of "documentation" from the DNC regarding President Bush too.
Again, its not just about Joseph Smith. He was a person with just as many faults as any of us. If you are trying to make out like Joseph was perfect I will be arguing the other side of that one.
You are trying to make out like Joseph Smiths own personal perfection has anything to do with the beliefs of Mormons.
I am not supposed to shop on Sunday, but sometimes I have done so in the past. That doesn't say anything about the religion itself though.
As for committing perjury, I don't think so.
Then was Jesus lying when he claimed to be God and the jewish religious leaders tried to stone him?
Jesus didn't lie to anyone. Give a reference though please so I can see what exactly you are referring to.
As I said above, Jesus Christ quite literally created everything on this planet including the planet itself.
Was Jesus lying when He said, (quote) "for my Father is greater than I". (John 14:28)
Or what about "My Father which gave them me is greater than all..." (John 10:11)
When Jesus says "I and my Father are one" we take that literally in some ways but not literally in others.
They are one in purpose, spirit, thought, and goodness.
They are not literally one being together.
Since God doesn't require any more from anyone, why should you? Everyone has wrong or flakey ideas about God. Ultimately, ALL our ideas on Who God is fall far, far short of the Reality of God. But God doesn't care that our ideas about Him are wrong. God cares what is in our hearts, not what is in our heads.
"Cultist" is a subjective judgement. At the same time it is an insult.
You cannot prove a subjective personal judgement as fact. You are trying to evangelize your own views and little more. It has nothing to do with "facts".
Why won't you say it? I'm not the one you have to worry about offending...and you know for a fact they were Christians and performing a Christian act because....., so therefore you hate Christians?
I could call myself Santa Claus and give children presents in your name, but it doesn't mean I represent your precepts now does it?
This is exactly right
BUMP.
He cares whats in our heads, but our hearts are more important.
If one is humble and teachable, God can mold them like playdoh. He can and will teach them and does so over time. No one has a perfect knowlege.
Trying to go the other way around, head first doesn't always work.
Look if you believe J Smith was a prophet of God then let it be. It's your choice as it should be, but don't sit there and be offended when there's plenty of documention backing up the facts that the guy was a con artist and a fraud!
They can provide documentation of anything you want said.
Its the exact same thing regarding Joseph Smith.
There is much more to things that though.
Joseph Smith was killed 150 years ago. What did he leave and what has come of it?
