I am not a historian, but from what I know there is documentation either way.
There is plenty of "documentation" from the DNC regarding President Bush too.
Again, its not just about Joseph Smith. He was a person with just as many faults as any of us. If you are trying to make out like Joseph was perfect I will be arguing the other side of that one.
You are trying to make out like Joseph Smiths own personal perfection has anything to do with the beliefs of Mormons.
I am not supposed to shop on Sunday, but sometimes I have done so in the past. That doesn't say anything about the religion itself though.
As for committing perjury, I don't think so.
Then was Jesus lying when he claimed to be God and the jewish religious leaders tried to stone him?
Jesus didn't lie to anyone. Give a reference though please so I can see what exactly you are referring to.
As I said above, Jesus Christ quite literally created everything on this planet including the planet itself.
Was Jesus lying when He said, (quote) "for my Father is greater than I". (John 14:28)
Or what about "My Father which gave them me is greater than all..." (John 10:11)
When Jesus says "I and my Father are one" we take that literally in some ways but not literally in others.
They are one in purpose, spirit, thought, and goodness.
They are not literally one being together.
Is this what we are debating, and are you absolutely sure you want to defend, from scripture, that Jesus and God are a different personage?
Ok, who had to be sacrificed and die to cleanse us from our sins?
Give a reference though please so I can see what exactly you are referring to.
John 8:58-59 reference the "I AM"... That is specific to the same "I AM" that God refers to himself when he told Moses to tell the Israelites who sent him. You can not refute the Hebrew reference...nor the greek.
