Two questions for you:

1)In your temple, who is God?
2)Who is Joseph Smith?

Why would you focus on Christ's death from the cross? The cross if anything represents what Jesus did for us to inherit eternal life because that's where you have to go to get it!

Why ignor the major premis of God's teaching?

Is a church w/o a cross a church, or just another building?

A church has nothing to do with what kind of place one worships in. A religion isn't defined by buildings.

A "church" ala "religion" can be practiced and taught and believed in regarless of where one is or worships.

For us, the #1 place for religion and "church" is in the home.

I don't have a big cross out front. Shoot me.

Its kind of like saying anyone who didn't hang an American flag out front isn't an American.

The reasoning is this, if your friend is killed by a gun, do you take to wearing a gun around your neck? Perhaps you do and thats OK.

Thanks, I had forgotten the reason, and I now recall what she said. It was that they don't like to dwell on what they consider to be the negative! Your explanation reminded me!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Prayer is merely communication. If you talk to your Mom, is your Mom therefore a 'false god'? People chat with their deceased spouses. Are their spouses therefore 'false gods'?

If you are really interested in learning the truth about Catholic or Orthodox practices, then go talk with a Catholic or Orthodox priest.

It is CHRISTMAS so I will refrain from saying what I think about your post ... I will say though that arrogant self righteous and obviously hateful so called "chistians" (small c intended) have NOTHING in common to true Christians and have far more in common with
fanatical muslims ...

Catholic is not Christian.

What a stupid, silly and insulting thing to say, and on Christmas of all days. Catholics believe that Christ was God's son inarnate and that He died for all of mankind's sins. That makes it Christan. Period.

If your perticular sect celebrates the Word by rubbing blue mud in your tummy or having rock bands at church or whatever, that is merely a difference in interpretation of the Bible. It doesn't remove Christianity from the church.

Being so incredibly uncharitable and un-Christlike, OTOH -- that is (and by extension you are) certainly NOT Christian.

ps: I am not Catholic.

Understand this, Mormonism is a cult!

More like a fake. I suggest that people who want to learn more should read a bokk called "Cults, World Religions, and The Occult", by Kenneth Boa. Excellent work with indisputable factual documentation in many cases.

You are a liar who himself is a cultist.

Look, I'll be glad to admit it if I am wrong...I have no qualms about...

What do you think I am lying about?

BTW, if in stating these facts offends you, I'm sorry.

Catholic is christian. Catholic is just a word for universal. Even the Orthodox churches state in their creed "one holy catholic and apostolic church".

You may have personal disagreements with the vatican, but that does not make them less Christian.

Budhism should not be in the poll since they are a self described philosophy more than religion. The poll is flawed.

Total up all the christian faiths and that is an interesting number.

More like a fake.

That's a more accurate way to surmise the foundations of Mormonism...

Why if you are agnostic does it bother you to accurately and properly class Mormons with Pagans?

Based on the fact that you have exhibited nothing but arrogant ignorance, I think I'll pass on any reading suggestions you have to offer. As it is written, 'Physician, heal thyself.'

Prayer is merely communication.

Poor logic to start, the rest of the message goes down hill.

So then you do not follow the words of the four gospels, I would assume, because they were not written by Jesus.

Ok here you go.

God is God. He is Heavely Father. He is the one in charge of everything.

Jesus Christ is His first beggotten Son.

God the Father and Jesus are not the same person. No we don't believe in the Trinity. The Holy Ghost is the messenger of the Father to men.

God the Father created everything and everyone spiritually first before they ever came here.

After the spiritual creation, and under the direct direction of Heavenly Father and through the Father's power, Jesus Christ created this world and everything on it.

Afterwards Christ himself came down to be born of mortal man to Atone for the sins of the world. He is the mediator between God the Father and fallen man. In a most literal sense, Christ is the God of us all because He is the Creator. He and His father are still two different people though.

No matter what one does as in good works, no one can ever earn their way to heaven. One must be obedient to Christs teachings though because He is the mediator and judge of us all.

He can mediate for whoever He chooses.

If we are not obedient He can choose to cast us off forever.

Because of Christ, all of us have a chance to return to live with Heavenly Father. We must though be obedient to the teachings of God to do so.

Who is Joseph Smith? He was the first President of the Church. There was only one Christ and hence really only one church. Truths are Eternal, meaning they never expire, even in Heaven.

Joseph Smith was kind of like Moses who went to get the 10 commandments from the mountain.

Joseph was a prophet who was called by God to be taught the doctrines of God and Christ that were lost over the ages as men continually opened their own religions unto all different types of things.
